Excellent device! E A S Y to use, no training or instructions needed. None! Anybody can do it. Really! download the app to your phone, sit down comfortably and put the device and phone side-by-side, put 2 fingers from each hand on the silver pads, wait....BINGO!! This device will tell you whether your heartbeat is in rhythm or whether you are in A-Fib. IT WILL NOT DETECT HEART ATTACK. You can "join" and have benefit of a doctor's opinion, etc., or still use it free without joining. In addition, it is very small.... maybe 3 1/2" long and 1/4" thick, and so it will fit easily into your purse or pants pocket, and you can have it with you wherever you go. FYI-- I recommend that you order the protective carrying case from the KardiaMobile company after you receive the device.

The Kardia Mobile is incredible! I recently landed in the hospital with a-fib. This device was reccomended for use once I got home. It has a reputation for being reliable & so gives me peace of mind. You can also record a number of other measurements daily, either manually or via connected devices. Blood sugar, blood pressure, weight, etc. EKG results can be emailed to your doctor.

Love this product! I have the blood pressure machine that belongs to the same name as this product. And also stores it’s information with the same app. That is actually how I found this product. I decided to give it a try. I sometimes have a heartbeat that skips and wanted to keep an eye on it. This product is pretty easy to use. And has the option to have it sent over to your doctor. It can help categorize what your irregular heart beat is in terms of if it’s super serious where you need to get to the emergency room or if it’s undetermined. Both my husband and I use it.

Excellent price for a 1 lead EKG heart monitor. Easy to setup and use. Download the app, connect with bluetooth, and place both left and right hand middle nad index fingers on the lead and you can watch your heart rate cardiogram. There is a subscription portion to this which allows you to detech othr heart issues, but I think the basic would be good enough for most people. And if you're really worried about your heart, I would pay for the subscription. Allows you to PDF your EKG to send to your doctor which I think can be useful. You don't need an apple watch to do EKG for your heart, This one does it better and only $70 when I purchased it. 5 stars if it came with premium subecript free for at least a couple of months.

When you install the app, it requests permission to use the microphone in your tablet/phone. I believe the link is audio. My EKG monitor worked out of the box. As signal strength weakened, I replaced the cr2016 battery. Signal strength was strong but ALL recordings were "unreadable". I found that with a new battery and strong signal, the monitor HAD to be a minimum of eighteen inches away from the tablet/phone. Then it worked fine again. Understand that this is the less expensive model, that works with two finger contacts. The other model includes a bottom contact for your left knee in addition to the two finger contacts. It gives more sophisticated readings. Recordings are saved to your tablet/phone OR you can buy a service that will upload readings to your doctor or cloud.

The good: Small fits in a wallet, or attaches to the back of your phone. The bad: It attaches to your phone back so coins in your pocket can run down the battery. For more than the basic reading you have to pay a subscription. They pray on fear and try to get you to pay for consultations and advanced features. Privacy statement says they can sell your data to other parties. Needs to be less than 10 inches from your phone to get a good signal and connection. Recently purchased it hoping for a better resolution and ease of use for readings. I got an pulse rate warning from my watch, used the watch EKG and it showed Afib detected, I tried the Kardia, nope, you're fine. Checked my watch EKG again, it still showed Afib. Tried an older Omron monitor I have, it showed Afib. Tried the Kardia again, nope, normal sine. I have had this happen on two different occasions several days apart. The closest it came to any abnormal reading was unclassified. If I have symptoms and it shows on 2 other devices, but not this one, then it's a piece of crap that I don't want. Taking it back. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Hi There, A subscription is not required to use the KardiaMobile with the Kardia app. Basic users who opt to not upgrade to KardiaCare still have the ability to detect and monitor basic arrhythmias using the included features in the Kardia App. KardiaCare is designed to help you get the most out of your Kardia device and provide you with deeper, more personalized insights about your heart health, but is not required to use the KardiaMobile and Kardia app.
When you create a new account, AliveCor collects the following required information: name, email, date of birth, sex, smoking status, height, and weight. We use this information to ensure that only you have access to this account. Other information we collect when you create a new account are: activity level, medications and medical conditions. This information is good to have as a baseline to understand your current condition. This information is not required to access your account. If you are a Premium subscriber, we may collect other information you may input into Kardia, such as EKG recordings, blood pressure, resting heart rate and activity levels. If you are a connected patient to your physician, all of this information will be seen in your doctor’s Kardia Pro account for identification and to help your doctor manage your treatment.
AliveCor does not resell any data we receive. AliveCor may use de-identified EKG recordings for future clinical research and feature improvements. All personal information is removed from a user’s EKG and stored on our secure and encrypted servers.

This device is awesome and I have been using it to detect if I am in Atrial Fibrillation since late January. It does a great job. I can create a pdf, send it to my own email, and store all results on my computer which I will then give to my cardiologist in August.

This little ekg monitor is a wonderful invention- I've used it on myself and my dog and in each case it identified some abnormalities which I was able to send to our docs... simple to use and WAY easier than the expensive watches that will do EKGs - I sent one back when I found this device. Easy to use.

The KardiaMobile monitor is easy to use and seems accurate. I didn't want to wear a watch type monitor and this one is small, compact and easy to use. I just linked it ti my phone and it keeps a record of my EKG for me.

Awesome Tool for Detecting A-fib!

This is an awesome little piece of equipment that helps me keep tabs on my heart rate and anytime I feel like my heart is having a-fib. I am in healthcare and to me the rhythms seem very accurate. I wouldn't hesitate telling someone to get this if they are ever concerned about the heart rhythm. One caveat is that if you want to know if you have any other abnormal rhythm, you will need to pay for a premium service. To me, I only needed to know if I am having a-fib or not and that is a free service that comes with the device.

This tiny little thing is surprisingly accurate for how little information it gathers from a single lead. Keep in mind that it must filter out a lot of nonsense, so it is not a replacement for professional evaluation. It accurately detects tachycardia and atrial fibrillation (we tested it on a number of previously diagnosed people.) PVCs showed up, but not indicated. This could be a useful screening and diagnostic tool! Couldn’t be easier to use for the less tech savvy users. Don’t expect miracles or definitive diagnoses.

So far works as it should though at times no matter how still you are its hard to get a clear tracing. I have sent some tracings to my cardiologist though. I’d recommend it to others.

The AliveCor-KardiaMobile personal EKG monitor works as advertised. It was very easy to download and set up the app on my phone. Getting an accurate EKG reading was also very easy. I was thinking of getting an Apple Smart Watch solely for its EKG monitoring ability, but because I now have this KardiaMobile, I don't need to spend $400!

I bought this EKG monitor for my mom and the first one I received came empty with AAA batteries in it, it required me to go back to Bestbuy and swap it out. However, the second one I received worked great, it was small and easy to use. It has all the information for the doctor to decipher for you to make sure you are healthy. It's not something to rely on out, but it does give peace of mind for certain health conditions. I'm giving it a 4 stars mainly because sometimes it will spit out randomly out of range data, but the solution to that is to test multiple times.

This device is totally worth the money. So easy to use. Small enough to keep in my purse. I do wish it offered a case to hold it. I record my readings for my cardiologist and he recommends having it. I have A fib and it always tells me what’s going on. Holds your history and so easy for the doctor to read. Wish I had known about it sooner!
