Incredible Technology

I have persistent AFib most of the time, with occasional periods when I am out of AFib, although I am unable to detect when in AFib. The technology of this device is incredible. AliveCor could not say if it was compatible with my LG model G7 ThinQ phone because they had not tested the device with that specific phone. Regardless, I purchased the device and it is compatible with my phone as well as with my wife's IPhone. The device is easy to set up, and fast and easy to operate. The results compare favorably with results from EKG in cardiologist office. Most of my readings are indicated to be Possible AFib, with occasional Unclassified readings. Readings for my wife, who does not have any known heart issues, are indicated to be Normal. I email the charts to my cardiologist on a weekly basis.

One of the best parts of my job is playing with new health products we get to review. I had the opportunity to use the Kardia Mobile device for a month and I was very impressed! Super easy to use – just hold your fingers on the plates for a few seconds and you get a “clinical grade” EKG reading that is reviewed (remotely) by a licensed Cardiologist. Thankfully, everything was normal when I received my readings and as a father of two young kids, the peace of mind (just knowing) is so incredibly reassuring!

Buy One if You Have AFIB or You're Over 50

I've been to the ER more than once because of episodes of tachycardia, shortness of breath, elevated BP, a sense of imminent doom: those of us past middle-age and many younger people know the routine. Each time I was there, an EKG was part and parcel of the standard tests they ran to rule out a heart attack. Now, I never had a heart attack that they could find or even a mini-stroke. But I worry a lot and that's just the way I am. When I heard about Alive Cor's device, I was curious but held off because it was being promoted as a tool to help those afflicted with diagnosed AFIB. And my physicians have never found AFIB. So, it seemed logically contradictory and also a waste of $99 to buy one. But I did. And I this is only the second day of owning it, but I feel better. Aside from having a family history of stroke and sleep apnea, worrying about the possible scenarios and consequences just made me feel bad, even though nothing was really wrong. What the KardiaMobile provides me with is the assurance that I can check if I feel a little "off" to see if I have a normal EKG or not. I can have a history of my normal EKG's on file to compare with any future ones and while the device isn't for self-diagnosis, it can help me to decide whether or not I need to seek further medical assistance. The best part is that the test is quick and you can take as many "snapshots" as you want. Alive Cor has changed their policy so that you can save your tests for yourself at no additional cost. The only fault I found seemed to be based in the newest version of Android software. I was unable to record any voice notations. All I got was a loud hiss and jumbled words. So I turned that "feature" off until they fix it. But be assured, being able to rule out AFIB, which can affect anyone or to just be able to check for a "normal" EKG goes along way in helping affected people or worriers like me feel better. Well worth the small investment.

Helped Diagnose AFib

Recently experienced a much more serious and sustained episode with symptoms of tachycardia and irregular heartbeat. KardiaMobile indicated “Possible Atrial Fibrillation”. Went to hospital where AFib was confirmed and treated. Great tool to aid in documenting new cases and also for subsequent monitoring. This device is the real deal and at a great price!

Best $79 spent EVER!

During that time I used Kardia Mobile to track my AFib & Sinus Rhythm. It was extremely reassuring to ‘see’ what I was feeling. I also printed out my reports and took them to my Cardiologist who was amazed at the medical grade EKG’s! Have recommended this unit to several family members and they have purchased as well! Best $79 spent EVER!!
