As an A/Fib patient that had an ablation procedure two years ago, the Kardia is an essential tool for monitoring my heart rhythm. The ability to email a PDF of the EKG to my cardiologist is huge.

Reporting Utility is a Nightmare
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like the "Wizard of Oz" scene, AliveCor is hoping reviewers focus on the smoke and mirrors of its device and not what's behind the curtain. The device works well enough, and if that's all you base a review on, "wow it's a 5!" But even more important than taking a recording is reporting those recordings to your doctor, and this is where AliveCor falls on its face. The reporting capability both online and on your phone a woefully pitiful. Your doctor will laugh at you while cursing AliveCor. Log onto their website, and the first thing you notice is that the online reporting offers no way to search individual reports - you literally have to scroll through potentially hundreds of readings to find a particular tracing. Your doctor will love that! Worse, the website inaccurately aggregates reports. In one test where half the reports were SR-SVE and the other half SR, it failed to list any of the SR-SVE! Only by scrolling through hundreds of potential tracings can you identify individual results. Imagine your doctor fiddling around on a website trying to find which recordings to examine? AliveCor is clearly more focused on the flash of its device than the usefulness of its website to physicians. I can go on, but you should be getting the point. Most reviewers who have given AliveCor a favorable rating have only focused on the flash of its device. No one seems to pay attention to what happens when you want your doctor to review those recordings. ...And that's where AliveCor falls flat on its face.

This is was a great and accurate way to help her doctor see how her heart rhythm on a day to day bases. I gave it 4 stars because it a little difficult for her slide on and off when not in use.
