Bright display RANDOMLY wakes me up

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The Qi charger often does not work because the phone's side buttons and the Poetic case shifts my Galaxy S9+ off center just slightly too far. The numbers have several levels of brightness - all of which are too bright for me to sleep with. When I turn the numbers brightness to the off setting, THE BRIGHTNESS RESETS ITSELF TO AN ON SETTING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WITHOUT ME TOUCHING IT!!!! I could understand if the numerals lit up when the alarm sounded at 7am, but I don't understand why this clock flashes on at random times in the middle of the night. ANNOYING. I had to remove this from my bedroom because sleeping is more important than having this clock. This device did not work for my intended purpose because I cannot sleep with it in the room. The buttons are also very small and do not have a tactile indicator that I am on the button before I press, which makes it difficult to work when I am awakened by it.
