excellent just wish you could program remote to turn tv on and off. i broke my antenna plug in port on back of samsung tv and this allowed me to hook hd antenna coaxial cable to aluratek then run hdmi cable from aluratek converer box to tv hdmi plug, works perfect!

was easy to set up, great picture, scanning for new channels is easy

Just what I needed to get away from high cost cable able to record free tv antenna programs for viewing at a later time.

This product was good reset install working perfectly the price is good I have no complaints

Concerned about durability, had to exchange do to failure once.

Ir was easy to install and I am able to get 68 chanels

Do not really care for this one I so prefer the ones we got free and the ones purchased years back way too many buttons and not in right spots on remote

About the only converter box available these days. Hope this one lasts longer than 6 months like the last one!

Grwat picture using hdmi. Would be perfect if the display showed the actual channel information.

Had an AV emergency at a major sports venue...we needed to pull off-air signals to direct into the big screens. On a hunch, I went to the Best Buy site and they had TWO in stock, in the middle of NOWHERE Michigan. Thank you Best Buy, you saved the show! Excellent service at the time of sale btw....the associate didn't know what I was talking about...we went to the website, he hit a button and the tag on the shelf flashed. Well done!

It's ok but remote is clunky compared to other models I've used. It slow changing channels.

Has a few design flaws like being slow, Needs of frequently booting. Anything is better than being a Cable or Satellite slave. Display is useless. Everything is on the TV screen. Records audio only in PCM, not Dolby Surround. Programming recording is a little complicated.Not possible to record Monday to Friday only shows, will record the whole week instead.

Purchased two devices. Both have failed in less than six months. Second unit was purchased with Geek Squad extended warranty.

Actually my review is not of the product itself but the customer service i got at best buy. I had bought the product some time ago and bought a 4 year service warranty with it. It actually didn't last but a few months I couldnot find my receipt. No problem. They looked it up by my phone#. Did not have one in stock, but had one sent to my house by the next day. I was really impressed to say the least. Kudos to best buy.

I needed a tuner for my projector set up. This does the job, but it's got a weak User interface in my opinion.

I bought this primarily for an Over The Air digital recorder. That was my first mistake. We tried it for a football game, but almost every play would skip for a second or so and cause you to miss important details. I would not recommend this for football or any other sports. I was using a Sandisk 128GB flash drive designed for USB 3.0 speeds to record the game. Also: upon first plugging the unit in, it was all blurry and jumping around like a nintendo cartridge that wasn't seated correctly. It looked like a buggy time-warp TV show or something. It turns out that I had to go into the menu and adjust the signal to 1080 non-interlaced (or something similar) for my TV to work with this device. After adjusting the resolution setting, the picture was actually viewable like a real TV. But the recording is still TERRIBLE! After failed attempts at finding and changing any settings that would fix the issue, we returned this unit. Thankfully Best Buy was willing to accept the return of this poor quality TV recorder.
