This is good for the price. Not super intuitive, but the instruction booklet covers most features clearly. The box says it can record a channel while you record another channel but I am only able to change to a different sub-channel while recording.

Setup is easy, channels are good, need good antenna, good converter box.

Works as advertised. Works well via HDMI and antenna to my outdoor projector.

hooked up and running so far so good to watch tv and see listings, next will be recording and so on

Sold interface and I like the option to add hard drive for a DVR

Exactly what I needed! The coaxial input on a TV I don’t have cable to quit working. I needed something for the HDMI input to use as an antenna. This product works great and brings in lots of channels. One of my friends had the same problem. She saw how well mine works and bought one for herself!

The box will get television channels. This is the fourth box that I've had that just suddenly stops working after 2 years. Seemingly the two boxes that I had purchased on the same day both stopped working within one week of each other. I have owned four of them and all of them have broken and just stopped turning on. Don't waste your money. Buy a different brand. It's not even worth buying the warranty

Needed to record over the air programming and this filled the bill perfectly.

Does a good job. Can work as a DVR with a usb drive. Menu’s not that easy to follow naming your recordings. Needs improvement

The box says it is a dual tuner device is misleading.

Worth the investment. Interface simple enough. Quality is decent.

It only worked for 2 week, if you are going to buy it, please pay an extra for insurance, because this has very cheap quality material,the user interface its very ugly , I recommend buy a new TV instead of buy this peace of crap

The quality of the picture is not best as the original HD overthe air. I have samsung 8 series 65" built in hd tuner. This is for record tv series so you dont missed.

The original Insignia converter I purchased when converter boxes became a requirement for over the air lasted for about 12 years. I have purchased two of these in the last 3 or 4 years. If there were a better alternative I would try it - because I bought a third by a different brand in-between those two Aluratek that was even worse. The Aluratek has put stations in places they don't belong (stations with numbers like 3.2 - 3.12 in between stations 7.2 and 7.3 - online guides don't even show me as having any stations on 3), drops out, and turns itself off. Off. Off as in requires cold boot off. The remote also needs to be left upside down, because the design causes the batteries to slide out of alignment if stored right side up. I don't know how many batteries I replaced before I realized that opening the case, and pushing the batteries back into the inside would generally solve it (sometimes they need to be removed and put back in.) The Users Guide no longer has instructions on how to remove channels you have no interest in from the rotation (HSN and it's siblings hold no appeal) and no longer show up as an option on the screen that used to give access to that function. I actually had to return one (so I guess that makes three of these I've had) because it unaligned the image (like scrolling on tube tvs) while I was trying to get out of the submenu - and there was no way to make the cursor/arrow move when you had the image scrolling every 2 seconds. It's like the manufacturer of this adaptive device wants to force you to buy a new tv.

Nothing wrong with this gadget but it only works with antenna TV. Would be great in a large city with multiple TV stations but we live in a rural area and are on cable. The cable company apparently makes it impossible to run the signal to a VCR, DVD or DV recorder. I did return it because it doesn't work for me. The manufacturer should print on the box "doesn't work for cable TV". I'm not sure about satellite.

This Ota recorder works just fine. Its hard to understand in the beginning so i suggest looking at videos to understand it. But for less than $50 its great !!!
