    This Aluratek product seems pretty standard, but the box's response to the remote was agonizingly slow and inconsistent. If you have any difficulty understanding and using today's technology, I do not recommend this product. Its ponderous response to the remote control will overwhelm users who can't deal with its unpredictable performance.

    It doesn't get the channels I wanted, so I had to put it away to use as a backup. I had to order one online that was the same brand as the one ai previously had, to be able to get the channels that I usually watch.

    I bought this thinking that I would have a decent DVR to record certain shows. Device would only record one program and after that it wouldn't record anything without rebooting. The only good thing about the DVR is the remote (I didn't have to point it so close to the DVR).
