Doesn't work! Geek squad member came to my home and tried to make it work. After several minutes, he told me to return the Aluratek Digital Converter and ask for a refund.

36 channels of free TV. Worth it. Just add antenna.

This box had problems for me and I returned it. I cannot recommend it.

This is not user friendly. The manual doesn't cover how to get your external drive to pair with the receiver, and it's difficult to understand how to setup the converter box. The only thing that is easy is scanning for your channels. If you record two shows back to back you will lose about two minutes of the beginning of the second show.

I returned this item due to multiple failures in reading/connecting to the USB drive. Sporadic failures that were cleared by re-booting system.

Great sound and picture. Cheap and easy to assemble.

I thought this converter would be better than the last one I bought, but actually it was worse. It only lasted 4 months and the programing started to get scrambled after just 2 months, not worth my time or money, hopefuly this will save someone else the headache that I went through.

This product is a great improvment for digital tv.

No long review. Waste of money. It's not worth the time and effort to purchase & try to set it up. I remember these used to be free of charge & now the cost is ridiculous.

Purchased this item in October, would not power up in December. Call customer service. Had to return item. You have to pay for shipping it back, cost me $17.23. Will not purchase another of their products.

I don't understand how anyone can use this... It records and will pause TV but the processor is so slow it is not worth keeping. It does not work like a DVR... you cannot pause and skip forward like some of us are use to. I returned it as it's worthless. I do not understand why Bestbuy sells such junk.

This works for what you need, however we found YouTube tv to be better and easier

I’ve hooked this up per instructions and tried every combination of setups. The sound does not go through to my tv. Not a good buy.

Installed a digital antenna and had many HD channels available on new LED TV. Tried this converter box on a couple of older CRT TVs and the box found no channels. Was told by the manufacturer that it is the antenna.

Works perfect. You get a ton of free tv stations and a bunch of old school tv programs.

Maybe I didn't read the description closely enough. But it leads me to believe there was at least a harddrive or built in memory of some kind. Talks about connecting a memory card via USB but that seemed like ADDED feature. Also settings and set up seem rudimentary and clunky.

There is no audio sync adjustment. This means that none of your audio will actually match what you see on the screen. The audio will be delayed from when you se their lips move. It is a waste of money.
