This is the second one we bought. It was easy to setup. It gives us great picture. The only negative is it has no fan to keep it cool. We relocated it for better ventilation.

Very good product ge0t lots more channels than expected very easy to install would recommend if you don't won't a cable bill

After Spectrum took away my ability to use my beloved TiVo, this gives it at least some functionality. I use it with my Insignia HD antenna which I have hung in my window. Easy to setup and use. My only complaint is times are in 24 hour format. I can do the math but it is not my first language and it just slows down the process. I have not tried the recording function yet but I think it will be a useful feature as it claims to have two tuners so I can watch one show while recording another. Plus it has the ability for unattended recording, I think.

I have tv and it works. Hopefully it’s not as poorly made as the mediasonic tuners. Those are total garbage and last only 1 year at the most.

Had an AV emergency at a major sports venue...we needed to pull off-air signals to direct into the big screens. On a hunch, I went to the Best Buy site and they had TWO in stock, in the middle of NOWHERE Michigan. Thank you Best Buy, you saved the show! Excellent service at the time of sale btw....the associate didn't know what I was talking about...we went to the website, he hit a button and the tag on the shelf flashed. Well done!

Actually my review is not of the product itself but the customer service i got at best buy. I had bought the product some time ago and bought a 4 year service warranty with it. It actually didn't last but a few months I couldnot find my receipt. No problem. They looked it up by my phone#. Did not have one in stock, but had one sent to my house by the next day. I was really impressed to say the least. Kudos to best buy.

We did not know how to get it to record, we wanted to record tv shows.

Lasted 2 months. Do not buy. If you have to, get extended warranty as it will fail. BestBuy gets a demerit for poor customer service. As I sat with Geeksquad to get a replacement I was told I can walk to the back and pick up one for trade. I said can't you call someone to bring one up from the back? I guess I expected too much as the associates with their hands in pockets, who are paid mind you and don't seem to be too busy, but I'm expected to go find the replacement? Do not buy. Do not recommend.

Great little digital tuner with recording options, easy to operate and very good tuner tor terrestrial antenna systems Highly recommended, since i had a few Chinese unit fail power supply after short time, this is my second receiver in 4 years, tossed on out, because i was stupid enough to throw my money down a satellite company again, never happen again. Have 42 channels from L.A. 63 miles away, what else can i ask for

The box is very limited in functionality, but does a great job by getting local channels to watch on the TV without TV tuner. I got 75 inch Vizio TV without tuner. Now, when I 'cut the cord', I needed local channels, so, this box gets what I needed. It has hdmi output that's nice. The menu is very basic and not user friendly, but you wouldn't need to go there often. Overall, I'm satisfied with the product.

Seems to work fairly well so far, although I have yet to try/figure out the recording options as they are a little more complicated then I would have thought

This was a gift and she loves it, works well, good quality picture and easy setup

The TV I have doesn't allow me to do certain things I want to do such as use my USB that I use for movies. I would have to use my XBOX and I hated doing that. I got this converter box and its perfect. I highly recommend.

I bought this box to use with a TV that has no tuner. So far it has worked well. Easy to set up. You will need a digital antenna to use with this product

The original Insignia converter I purchased when converter boxes became a requirement for over the air lasted for about 12 years. I have purchased two of these in the last 3 or 4 years. If there were a better alternative I would try it - because I bought a third by a different brand in-between those two Aluratek that was even worse. The Aluratek has put stations in places they don't belong (stations with numbers like 3.2 - 3.12 in between stations 7.2 and 7.3 - online guides don't even show me as having any stations on 3), drops out, and turns itself off. Off. Off as in requires cold boot off. The remote also needs to be left upside down, because the design causes the batteries to slide out of alignment if stored right side up. I don't know how many batteries I replaced before I realized that opening the case, and pushing the batteries back into the inside would generally solve it (sometimes they need to be removed and put back in.) The Users Guide no longer has instructions on how to remove channels you have no interest in from the rotation (HSN and it's siblings hold no appeal) and no longer show up as an option on the screen that used to give access to that function. I actually had to return one (so I guess that makes three of these I've had) because it unaligned the image (like scrolling on tube tvs) while I was trying to get out of the submenu - and there was no way to make the cursor/arrow move when you had the image scrolling every 2 seconds. It's like the manufacturer of this adaptive device wants to force you to buy a new tv.

Works as advertised. Priced right. Does as intended to do.

I am so impressed with this little converter! It can be used practically anywhere, on any floor in a home, in a camper, at college. The USB feature is its magic...that it can record a live program to watch later, or any recorded family movie installed on a drive. The program guide is various, and the channels in my area (over 65) come in crisp and clear. This is a must have for any older television that is not connected to cable. HDTV is a marvelous option, and this converter is choice.
