was easy to set up, great picture, scanning for new channels is easy

Perfect for USB flash drives 2.0 & 3.0 video playback, but some of the videos would freeze and requiring a reboot. Not easy to use. Must read user's manual. This is not a plug in and play device.

It's ok but remote is clunky compared to other models I've used. It slow changing channels.

I bought this primarily for an Over The Air digital recorder. That was my first mistake. We tried it for a football game, but almost every play would skip for a second or so and cause you to miss important details. I would not recommend this for football or any other sports. I was using a Sandisk 128GB flash drive designed for USB 3.0 speeds to record the game. Also: upon first plugging the unit in, it was all blurry and jumping around like a nintendo cartridge that wasn't seated correctly. It looked like a buggy time-warp TV show or something. It turns out that I had to go into the menu and adjust the signal to 1080 non-interlaced (or something similar) for my TV to work with this device. After adjusting the resolution setting, the picture was actually viewable like a real TV. But the recording is still TERRIBLE! After failed attempts at finding and changing any settings that would fix the issue, we returned this unit. Thankfully Best Buy was willing to accept the return of this poor quality TV recorder.

Grwat picture using hdmi. Would be perfect if the display showed the actual channel information.

This product is not compatible with my ROKU tv. for example the power button also turns off my tv. There are several other keys that operate the tvs various functions. They are too many to list here. Overall the product is good. but you can't use a lot of key functions.

Works as advertised. Works well via HDMI and antenna to my outdoor projector.

Has a few design flaws like being slow, Needs of frequently booting. Anything is better than being a Cable or Satellite slave. Display is useless. Everything is on the TV screen. Records audio only in PCM, not Dolby Surround. Programming recording is a little complicated.Not possible to record Monday to Friday only shows, will record the whole week instead.

Sold interface and I like the option to add hard drive for a DVR

Does a good job. Can work as a DVR with a usb drive. Menu’s not that easy to follow naming your recordings. Needs improvement

Exactly what I needed! The coaxial input on a TV I don’t have cable to quit working. I needed something for the HDMI input to use as an antenna. This product works great and brings in lots of channels. One of my friends had the same problem. She saw how well mine works and bought one for herself!

This converter box is clearer reception than my other converter box. The directions are not clear as to how to retrieve the recording. I need to go on line and see if those directions are better. I would like to buy another one for another tv.

I needed a tuner for my projector set up. This does the job, but it's got a weak User interface in my opinion.

Bought this for my grandmother. Stoped working after a week.

Setup is easy, channels are good, need good antenna, good converter box.

Using it for local channel on a tv with no tuner. This helps the indoor antenna to work. It works great! Less money than buying a TV with a tuner to get local. Money well spent.
