On a fixed income. Got rid of cable and switched to antenna. This DVR box helps convert my channels to digital channels that I can record and watch later! Just get a USB for storage!

This unit easily connects to an HDMI port on my av receiver. It has a channel guide and I get Digital Dolby sound. Also makes it easier to switch from local TV to other sources.

Not too happy but kept it for a back up! You see the pink start up screen more than anything. I was think the technology would have improved so I decided to upgrade to this from old RCA needless to say I hooked back up my old RCA.

It does the job for the money. It could definitely be more user friendly. I have had to unplug and reset a few times because it locks/freezes up for some reason. I will look for another option next time if they haven't made some improvements with a new model.

Does ok as a converter box. Recorder not as easy. Seems to work great until it is something we really wanted to watch. Then playback is a little unpredictable. Watching playback of a football game was not smooth and it would crash if we tried to fast forward more than 2x thru commercials. The instruction manual is worthless.

Easy to install and good picture displays on tv. Allows me to record on my vcr. Haha. Old school

The receiver is inadequate resulting in pixels throughout the recorded film and the viewed program. My antenna is rated for 150 miles & works fine with the tv.

Simple to operate, dependable for recording from antenna.

Works great in good weather! Took a little getting used to but I get the local channels and am very happy with this box. The remote is great!

I have a small TV that I used to hook up cable boxes to. For as much as it's used - the cable boxes weren't worth it. The TV still has a picture tube which means I needed the convertor box. It's great. I get 40 channels, a program guide, I know what the show is about.

This unit was easy to setup & it works great, highly recommended.

It recorded over-the-air TV shows, but the reception wasn't as good as it is without the unit, and, even worse, the user interface was so clumsy & clunky to use that it was too frustrating. The fast forward function didn't really work at all. I had to return it to the store.

We have a smart tv but it had no connection for our coax antenna. This made all the difference in the world. Great signal and I had it installed in less than 5 minutes.

Biggest piece of garbage. The first one I bought lasted over a year. Not bad for the price I guess. I bought two more in June 2024 so I would have a spare when the next one died. Anticipating getting at least a year out of each one. It's now November 1st 2024 and both converter boxes have died. Unbelievable. Looking at the reviews of other brands, they all seem to have the exact same problems, voices out of sync with picture, then one day, nothing. I would have thought a company like Best Buy would sell a better product. Save your money.
