Excellent after 2 wks. use

I returned it and was given another at the store. This unit so far(2 wks) has been easy to program for some daily soaps and the time setting was easy and programming agreed with my area exactly. It also picked up additional channels compared to the TV alone. You might consider the 24hr clock a deterrent as I did, but actually easier as you just program an hour instead of AM/PM. Working very well so far. I am working off an attic antenna.

Only good for a few months

It was nice when it worked, but both have lasted less than a year. It did record programs with a nice playback, bit the price is not worth the product.
