My old, original converter just blew out blew- out from old age or system overload. This Aluratek Converter and Recorder turned my t.v. into a true entertainment center with new channels and advanced controls and really impressive visuals. I am very, very pleased with it. But the Aluratek converter box performs the PVR Recording feature flawlessly and holds the CC while fast forwarding or rewinding. Plus the remote control supplied with the Aluratek controls the device at longer distances.
