I was looking for cheap, and I got cheap & nasty. Does almost nothing I'd come to expect from a DVR; no directory, no ability to freeze a show while it's being recorded, records only one show at a time. It went back within days.

Very surprised because its very good. Had another brand more expensive and this one did a lot better! Would recommend

Does a great job of converting digital TV broadcast signal to analog signal for my analog TV set.

This unit worked as advertised but response when pushing buttons was extremely slow to complete an action i.e. change channels.

Aluratek provides a crystal clear "digital" picture when connected to a good antenna and receiving a strong signal.

We bought this to record a few over the air local stations but everytime we play the recordings they are pixelated. The box makes the live shows delayed in the fact the audio doesn't match the scenes on the ahow.

Unfortunately this converter box didn't work on my Roku TV, I was trying to obtain free local live channels but none came up. I even attached an antenna but still nothing.

Great purchase, works properly for viewing television without cable.

Works great. I use a $20 solid state drive in a $9 Sabrent usb hard drive enclosure (model EC-UASP) instead of using a usb thumb drive.

Needed a device to record TV to watch at a later time. After figuring it out we are very satisfied.

The Aluratek Digital TV Converter Box with Personal Video Recorder was a GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT. I purchased this product to view and record a once in a lifetime event. Connected an antenna and HDMI cord to a compatible monitor. It took forever to get it to get a picture. When a picture did appear, it was very choppy and distorted even with an Booster.

it does record shows if you baby sit it a lot. It's a little complicated to use. hard to setup recurring shows, and not easy to select past recordings to watch. I ended up not using it.

Great to replace your VCR or DVR with. Program to record your favorite show or event. Record at 1080p 720p or 320.

The broadcast signal for the channels that the box received was excellent. However, the USB recordings of programs had intermittent pixelation (at least every 15 seconds). Plus, the recordings were in a strange format that a number of media players couldn't play. I returned the item to Best Buy about a week after I bought it with no hassle.

Having teouble gett*ng an picture witth the remote controll and antenna. Its just an blank page om television. I would not ask any customer to buy this item.
