The microwave was great at first, after just a year it started acting up making weird noises like it was going to explode, the lights needed to be replaced twice already and now the darn thing won't stay closed. I'm very disappointed all my kitchen appliances are Amana and this is the only one needing to be replaced. Luckily I bought the 4 year extended warranty to cover this. Do yourself a favor and find a different microwave to avoid a headache.

So faf, so good! I'm very pleased with this microwave.

Only had this microwave for one month and it stopped working. Very light use. Rechecked install, breaker and outlet. All are just fine. Contacted the company, let them know that it had all been verified as working correctly, and they suggested that I contact their local service team. BUT they stated that IF the issue turned out to not be covered by warranty I would be charged for the visit. They were not specific about exactly what would not be covered. Sorry but your product quit working entirely after 30 days and there’s the potential for being charged just to have someone look at it? Nope I expected better service when it’s clear this microwave is defective. I wouldn’t recommend.

Was an OK microwave till....the tiny single dim bulb that the microwave comes with went out. When I went to remove the bulb, the base from this CHEAP BULB broke off inside of the socket. The socket is almost all the way to the back on the bottom and pointing at the wall. I have been trying to get the remnants of the bulb out for and hour now. Defiantly don't recommend this microwave for people with low patience. Wish me luck!

Had this microwave just at the 3 year mark with very little use. Sparking and popping trying to change the lightbulb! Don't even want to plug back in, will never buy Whirlpool/Amana again....should have lasted long with our limited usage!
