Purchased this dishwasher at the end of July, and had it installed last Thursday (8/2). I used it for the first time today, and there is about an inch to inch and half pool of water still at the bottom. I'll have to siphon it out. Called Amana, (waited on hold 15+ minutes) and they scheduled a service call for me - which I have to take 1/2 day out of work for because they don't work on Saturday. In addition, if they deem it's not "their issue" I'll be charged $169 for the service call. I've read the reviews and proper draining is an issue. I should have paid closer attention to this when purchasing. Highly disappointing.

Got this dishwasher a few weeks ago to replace a GE unit. As others have mentioned, it doesn’t dry. Scoured the internet to see if there was an issue with my unit, but this seems to be a common refrain. The washing seems to be okay, but hand drying everything is a real pain. Very disappointing!

I purchase this dishwasher based on the price. I did read the reviews before purchasing the item, however I just needed to replace the old one. I will say that it does clean the dishes however, I agree with the other customers of wet dishes after the cycle. Spend the extra money and get the bells and whistles unless you don't mind hand drying off your dishes.

We purchased this product about 2 years ago and I have to say,It's a useless piece of garbage..It will not thoroughly clean or dry the dishes..We use brand name detergents and it's still the same..Once a month we use cleaning products to flush out the system(which is recommended) but nothing works..We are getting a new one today and needless to say,it won't be Amana.

Cycle is way too long. Fast cycle is 1 hour. Normal Cycle is up to 3 hours! It might use less water, but it uses more energy to stay on that long.

I like that this dishwasher doesn't have a lot of options I won't use. The design is simple and straightforward. It's very noisy though, so much more so than the Kitchen Aid we had before. But the Kitchen Aid was always broken, so it didn't really matter if it was quiet. Fortunately we don't "need" it to be very quiet, but if this machine is going to be in or close to a room where you want to watch television or talk, I think it's loud enough to make a difference. It didn't come with any insulation and the door is plastic which I think is what allows the noise to carry.

Im not sure how Amana got away with selling this dishwasher. The dishwasher is loud, slow and it doesn't even come close to drying the dishes. I did my research on the dishwasher to see if maybe there was something wrong with the dry cycle and it checked out okay. From other reviews elsewhere other customers seem to be having the same problem. Does it clean the dishes at least? Sort of, its no where near as good as our old dishwasher but it does an okay job of cleaning. There are many times where I have to rewash the dishes when they come out but every time its finished you best believe I have to dry every single thing by hand. I don't even understand how that much water can be left inside the dishwasher even with a rinse aid. I hate having to write bad reviews but Im at my last straw with this machine.

Loud and stopped working well within 1 year. No longer cleans dishes at all after 3 years despite service.

Piece of junk. Installed a white one in an apartment I manage in October 2020, and is been nothing but trouble. The water doesn't drain, it leaks out the front and doesn't dry the dishes. We've had the authorized service tech out twice already, and our own maintenance man 3 times. It's all plastic. Save your money and buy a new expensive one.

I purchased one of these dishwashers a yr and a half ago. After a yr it stopped cleaning the dishes at all I chalked it up to being a lower end model. I purchased another one and now here we are 6 months in and the problem has started again!!!! So here I am washing dishes by hand I will never buy this brand again!

GOT THIS IN A PACKAGE DEAL COME TO FIND OUT EVERYTHING INSIDE IS PLASTIC THAT WILL TURN BROWN DUE TO THE HEAT ...EXCHANGED IT FOR A SAMSUNG THAT HAS ALL STAINLESS INSIDE .. VERY LOUD !!!!

I've had this dishwasher for over a year now and I'm pretty disappointed in its overall performance and effectiveness. It does not dry dishes to an acceptable level and leaves behind a significant amount of water after each cycle. Rinse aid makes a marginal difference in the water that's left behind so be prepared to hand dry most dishes after each cycle and keep an eye out for mold buildup as a result of the water left behind. Additionally, it does a subpar job cleaning - I frequently need to re-wash or hand-wash items and its also loud. I would not recommend this product.

Dont waste your money. Just get a better one. This dishwasher as others have stated, doesnt drain, doesnt dry, and doesnt actually clean the dishes. It's been an embarrasing year of having to check cups before getting my guests a drink or before plating food. the price is what was appealing but proves the age old adage, you get what you pay for. just invest in something better and you wont have to deal with the constant rewashing, wasting water/etc,. etc,. etc,.

This dishwasher does not dry at ALL! I have had it for a few months now and thought that it wasn't drying at first because it was new or maybe I did something wrong?!?! ....So I gave it a few months. The washing cycle takes forever and even when it's completed, the dishes are wet. It defeats the purpose of having a dishwasher! Bad investment!

I purchased the Amana package (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and oven) for our new home. I am happy with the refrigerator, microwave and oven. However, I am extremely unhappy with the dishwasher. It does not clean well and when the heated cycle is finished, the dishes are all wet. I have to hand dry every glass, cup or mug and some of the dishes. I might as well be handwashing everything. It even had difficulty cleaning a hot cocoa mug that was soaking before the wash. I

I didn't even get what I paid for. All I wanted was a basic dishwasher that washed and dried my dishes This does NEITHER! I run the dishwasher on the heavy cycle and hi temp. My dishes still come out dirty and wet. I use a quality detergent, a detergent booster, and rinse aid. I gave up a 15 year-old dishwasher that worked just fine for this junk. It's so bad, I don't even feel right trying to sell it to anyone else. I thought Amana made good products, but I'll never buy another one.

I’ve had this dishwasher for about 6 months now and it always has water left in it at the end of the cycle, even with “Heated Dry” chosen. After a while it starts to smell like old socks. I wish I’d never bought this one and spent just a little bit more on one that dries better.

This dishwasher came with our house, but brand new. We have had to have it repaired twice in 1 1/2 years. Same issue both times, will not run water in to wash the dishes. Had never really dried the dishes well, have to let them air dry the rest of the way. May have got a lemon.
