Worth every penny
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this washer to replace a 25 year old Hotpoint that always had problems staying balanced. Compared to the Hotpoint, this machine is super quiet, most times I can't hear it when it goes thru the spin cycle. After one month of ownership I have zero complaints. I got it on sale for $299.99, truly a "best buy".

Sweet deal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with this purchase. The price was the reason we bought it but it is really quiet, has a great capacity and even a locking lid during operation to keep kids safe.

QUIETEST WASHER I HAVE EVER OWNED
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the quietest washer I have ever owned! I have checked on it to make sure that it was running because I can't hear it - even on the spin cycle! . I was hesitant to purchase it because of some of the reviews I read, but all I can say is those people must have had a defective one because so far I have not found one thing wrong with this machine. Excellent value! I'm glad I didn't choose a higher priced machine and decided to purchase thanks to the high customer rating.

No Frills Workhorse of a Washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this Amana Top Load Washer along with my Amana Gas Dryer & Fridgidaire Gas Oven at the same time and place because of Best Buys' awesome Price-Match policy. This machine is a workhorse. Easy to use (no frills -> just three simple selections to choose from: Load Size small, medium large; Temperature; and Wash Type: Normal, Delicate, or Casual). It handles HUGE loads of clothes and gets them all very clean. I have no problem with the locking-lid (just pour, dump and go)! I am VERY happy with my purchases and definitely recommend Best-Buy for purchasing quality appliances.

Good washer for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a new washer and dryer because my used ones kept breaking. This one was affordable and a great value. My only complaint is the cycles are too loud, we can hear them across the house. It cleans good and is simple to use, we just don't put a load on right before we go to bed...

Great for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great product! Was kind of undecided on purchasing it at first but so far im in love with it. Its very quiet which is a major plus since I live in an apartment. Cycles are quick and clothes are very clean and the spin cycle dries the clothes very well which cuts time in dryer. Great product!

Excellent bargain washer, but no softener dispense
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I'm very pleased with my purchase, for 300 bucks it's a great deal. It was installed really quick (in about 10 minutes or less), Best Buy guys leave it ready to work, so you don't have to worry about installing it. The only feature I think is missing but I didn't check it when I bought it is that it lacks a automatic softener dispenser. OK you will say, no big deal, you can just add it on the rinse cycle. This is kind of hard. I tried to do it but the way the rinse cycle works is that it keeps spinning while adding water, so the tank never fills up completely, this way you can't really dissolve the softener in water. It's no biggie, I will switch to dryer softener sheets. Don't get me wrong. It's a great purchase!!! Just make sure you're not planning on having a softener dispenser as I did before buying it.

Inexpensive washing machine that gets the job done
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We've had this washer for a few months now and we love it. It goes through its cycles pretty quickly, and I like the number of options for the different cycles. It's inexpensive and gets the job done well!

Great washer for the Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought it on sale a month ago, I was very pleasently surprised how good it is for a bottom of the line model. Its your basic washer with plenty of features and only the two not so great things. Lid lock so you can't quick check your wash and no fabric softener dispenser. It has six different wash cycles plus rinse\spin dry\spin for already wet stuff. Not totally quiet but when I turn on my TV I can't hear the washer anymore. Well worth the money.

Great for those on a Budget
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this from the Best Buy in Surprise, AZ on April 30 and it's been working out very good for me and my family. I would recommend this washer machine for anybody or any family that on a Budget. I went and got a Uhaul pick up truck because i could not wait to get it to my house and used it and the guys at best buys help me the load the washer machine into the uhaul truck. If you look up the Brand Name Amana you will see that it is made by whirlpool. I almost didn't buy it because i've never heard of the brand before but when i look into it and saw that it was made by whirlpool and i went ahead and brought and i don't regret my decision.

Great starter washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great price for this appliance, which is great for a small or starter home. The machine is loud compared to other, high-end washers, but you will only notice if you are on the same level.

Awesome washer for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this washer because we desperately needed a new one. Our household had been through 3 washers in 6 months. They were all used but still it was getting on my nerves bad. Bought this washer, had the hubby and roommate set it up and I was washing that same night. It gets the clothes very clean and is just loud enough so you know when the wash is over if you are listening. The only thing I wish it had was a timer to let you know when the wash is finished but that is just a luxury wish. Had it about 5 weeks at this point and couldn't be happier. If/when our dryer kicks it I will definitely consider purchasing the matching dryer.

great washer, great price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have had this washer for about a month and a half and so far it has done what it says it would. Our clothes are clean and fresh. The other thing I love about the washer is that it balances the clothes if there is too much weight on one side. Also, I love that it's quiet and it gets most of the water out when it is done, making less work for the dryer. The only thing I hate is that there is on dispenser for fabric softener inside the washer. Lastly, i love that it has a water sensor that puts in the amount of water needed for the weight of the clothes.

quiet but powerful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great washing machine for the price. I have just me to wash clothes for so I didn't need the top of the line best washing machine money can buy but I think for a low end machine, this one performs just as well as a high end machine. The spin cycle alone is powerful enough that it dramatically cuts down on drying time. And it is so quiet! I've been around several different washing machines and this one is by far the best I've ever used.

Great choice for a basic washer.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What I like most about this washer is that the agitator is made in a way that will not twist and tear up my delicate lingerie. I buy expensive bras that got twisted in my last washer so badly that the under-wires began to tear out, even when on Delicate setting. I was glad to see that this washer had a different type of agitator that does not put undue strain on the clothes. I also like the "Casual" cycle that won't spin the clothes too hard. This reduces winkles in clothes that I wear to work. I trust the Amana name brand and am very happy with this washer for being the least expensive one in the store.

Can't be beat for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I have had this washer, along with matching dryer, for about nine months and couldn't be more satisfied. It may not have all the bells and whistles of more expensive models, but it does a great job with all fabrics and at all temperatures. The Amanas may be the lowest-priced washer-dryer combo in the Best Buy inventory, but I can't imagine better machines at twice the price. Highly, highly recommended.

Don't Waste Your Money on a More Expensive Machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family includes a husband who works construction, five children including a baby and two bed-wetters, plus our animals: two goats, a dozen chickens, and several bunnies. We also have our own organic garden, compost pile, rain barrels, all that, and our kids don't watch TV: they play outside. We're talking serious laundry! So when our last Amana lasted eight years before giving us any trouble (a leak), I knew I wanted to replace it with the same brand. Eight years might not seem like a long time, but my mom purchased an expensive front-loader, and it died after one year of doing laundry for three relatively inactive people, no animals, no babies, no bed-wetters. It cost her $250 to repair it; slightly less than the price I paid for either of our Amanas. This second Amana was an "open box" deal because it had a scratch. I'm very pleased with the performance; I hope it is at least as durable as the last one we had.
