Customers are saying
Customers are positive about the 3.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer's cleaning performance, price, and ease of use, with many praising its capacity and size for their needs. However, customers are negative about the washer's noise level and the lack of a fabric softener dispenser, finding the lid lock inconvenient for some users. Some also mentioned concerns about the fill time and agitation. Overall, the positive aspects of cleaning ability and affordability seem to outweigh the negative feedback for many users.

Would not recommend! Many issues from start!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did all my research on washers first & BB helped me select this one. It was a dud from the get go. It never really cleaned clothes & also would just stop in the middle of the wash cycle & drain. the timing was off & even though BB geek squad sent another contractor out to fix it, the fix didn't stop the timing issue. It was a pain in the you know what since day one. For $400 a brand new washing machine should work! I will never buy Amana or it's mother company again! Beware! Choose a better brand & from elsewhere!

Great little washer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually purchased this washer and the matching dryer. Great set! Basic is all I wanted - no bells and whistles. I will agree that it is more noisy than any other washer I have owned. However, it is in my basement and so I can't hear it when I'm upstairs. It washes well and, like someone else said, the great spin cycle makes clothes ready for a shorter dryer cycle. (I love the dryer too. A tad over 1/2 hour dried my towels - with old washer it used to take 1 hour.)

Do Not Buy This Machine!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a waste of time and money! It is horrible. My old Amana rocked for many years this is just terrible all my work cloths are now stained try another model don't get stuck like I have for 3 years now I only hope it breaks as it looks and feels cheaply made and they have to replace it due to warranty. ;o(

Hate the locking lid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only reason it got 2 stars is because the clothes are clean… but any washer will do that. It makes weird noises, the lid locks and you can't add fabric softener… I have a Downey Ball, but it doesn't spin fast enough to open the ball. When you set it to just Rinse/Spin, it takes forever to fill… which is what I have to do to use fabric softener; Stop the cycle, wait for lid to unlock, add softener, set to Rinse/Spin… and wait. Not happy.

Very nice machine
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We downsized from some large Cabrio machines. That Cabrio HE washer actually turned out to be pretty LE, if you know what I mean. This little Amana gets the clothes much cleaner and is the perfect size since there are just two of us in the household.

Good Value for what I paid
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this washer when it was on sale for $299. I was very happy when I picked it up and found that it is all metal construction. The only part that is not metal is the wash tub ( the outside container that the cloths tub sits in) and the start button. Once you have set the washer to the desired cycle all you have to do is push start. The lid locks only when the cycle starts so you can let the tub fill with water and add to the load. Once it starts the lid is locked until it is done. The only problem I have with it is if the load goes out of balance a piece of the pump inside the tub moves and inter fears with the pump locking it. When this happens the washer will not empty or spin. Lowering the discharge hose allows the water to drain from the washer. After draining the water you can tip the washer back, remove three screws holding the pump in place and reset the part in the tub into alignment with the pump. Re install the pump and the three screws and you are back in business. I have had this washer since December of 2013 and this has only happened twice. Both times were when I was washing rugs. From now on I will wash my rugs at the laundromat. I am glad I only paid $299 for it and $299 for the matching dryer which is operating flawlessly so far. If they come up with a fix for my issue I would recommend this washer. Why pay much more (some are over $1000) for a washer that is marginally better. All I need is clean cloths, Not any of the other bull they add on or try to say is the bast!
