Hope it lasts as long as the old Whirlpool Unit, which was 17 years without a single issue. Just periodically clean the vent. P.s. It's a NATURAL GAS unit, as opposed to LP (Propane). They don't make that clear on the Site. Note: Model # starts with NG....

Ultimately we ended up sending the AMANAs back and upgrading to LG. If you can afford it spend a little more, but still an OK product. Best Buy was very helpful.

So we got it replaced and they brought a new one. Instantly we noticed the laundry room constantly smelling like gas. We waited a week to be sure it wasn't just from the installation day before calling and asking for someone to come out and inspect it. When they came out, the attendant was extremely dismissive of the smell and told us it was the "dryer oil" that is "normal to smell like gas." So the dryer works, but my laundry room just has a constant air of gas.

Good for 3 years
