The step counter is not accurate. If I want this to be even slightly accurate, I have to have it on so tight that it’s uncomfortable. The app it comes with is constantly sending ads for you to “upgrade”, and the “exercise” function only includes running/ biking? I weightlift and do other exercise but it’s very difficult to log. This was a complete waste of money and I wish I had returned it earlier.

For sleep and step tracking, accuracy can vary based on fit and wear conditions. The band needs to sit snugly to maintain good sensor contact, but it should still feel comfortable—if it’s too tight, readings can actually become less reliable rather than more accurate. Small adjustments in position (about a finger above the wrist bone) often help improve consistency. Sleep detection can also be affected by irregular schedules or brief wake-ups during the night.
Regarding workouts, the Band 7 focuses mainly on common activities like running and cycling, but it does include a “Freestyle” workout mode that can be used for strength training and other exercises. You can also manually log or label workouts in the Zepp app afterward. The upgrade prompts in the app are for optional premium services and features—they are not required to use the watch or its core tracking functions.

It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that an expensive smartwatch has but that's okay because this is exactly what I was looking for.
