Features Alexa and a ring shaped arrow controls. WARNING: WILL NOT REGISTER WITH A FIRETV FRESH FROM FACTORY RESET. I made this expensive mistake before learning that I had to download a FireTV app and connect my smartTV via ethernet cable to my router.

One worry I had was battery life and maybe it's just the remote I got but the battery life is a huge problem. I'm getting Abt 3-4 weeks out of fresh engerizer batteries before the volume and power buttons start to act up and not work. The light is great in a dark room but it's not worth having to constantly swap batteries. And internal battery and a USB-C charge port would have been nice. Would have paid 10-15$ more for that option. You could use rechargable batteries but if you have a silicone case on your remote you know the hassles.

Unfortunately the backlight being on frequently can drain the batteries fairly quickly. Your recommendations are very much appreciated and will help with designing future devices. I highly recommend this product! Amazing gadget!

And the responsiveness between the TV and the remote is much improved. But you’ll understand this when you use it, it’s really hard to quickly and intuitively distinguish the top controls from the bottom ones. So I’m constantly fiddling with it and flipping it. Super annoying and almost not worth the nuisance.

While I'm glad the hand feel, illuminated buttons, and improved responsiveness are working well for you, I understand how the lack of intuitive tactile differentiation can be annoying during use. To help orient yourself more quickly, try familiarizing yourself with the button layout and use the circular navigation ring in the center as a tactile reference point to determine orientation by touch, and with regular use, muscle memory typically develops to reduce the need to visually check the remote's orientation.
