The size and weight of the tablet is identical to the prior version. And the screen is the same BUT this is still a nice upgrade. It has a better processor, I think it has better wifi and just seems to work better than the prior version. Try to get it on sale ($99) when you can at which point it's an amazing bargain. One last thing - you can put the google playstore this device. I give Amazon a lot of credit for not blocking this. Go to google and ask "how to put the playstore on your kindle fire 10" and you'll find lots of good tutorials. All in all, a nice tablet that gets the job done.

This is my 3rd Amazon Fire Tablet. The first one wore out and the second one was only a 7". Now I have the 10.1" and am very happy with it. It is easy to use and you can do anything you want on it from games to reading books, email and correspondence! Well worth the price!!

My 11 year old son bought this with his own money, mostly to play Minecraft. It’s easy to set up parental controls so he can’t buy things online, and to link to my Amazon account so I can keep track of how much time he’s on games. He’s VERY happy with the speed (no lag), the size, and the increased memory- great upgrade from his smaller, older Kindle Fire.

Bought as a gift for Christmas and it’s definitely worth it. It feels very high quality and well made; blue color is really nice. Really easy to use and it’s great for watching Hulu, Disney+, and playing games, all at the fraction of the cost of other tablets.

I'm loving this thing. Great use for reading, games, movies, and music. The sound and picture quality in those aspects are terrific, also. As long as the storage is not too full and maintained in that area, it should prove useful for quite sometime.

I bought this for my special needs daughter, she has no trouble navigating the screens and loves the ease of use. She has the normal streaming services installed on it and it works great. Very nice picture and the size, for her at least, is perfect.

Got this to replace a dead E-book. Big bright screen, easy set-up with lots of apps and features. Great for E-books, Audio Books, TV and movies. Add some Bluetooth headphones and you've really got a nice compact entertainment system. Highly recommended.

I thought that no Google Play would be a bad thing. It isn't. I also paid the extra $15.00 to get rid of the ads and offers. Screen is perfect for me. Battery life is great. This is for light gaming and viewing content from pay services and using VLC from my media server.

I just recently got both the fire had 8 plus and the had 10. The sale prices are very good on both of them and they are a great improvement over the previous tablets. I’m just a basic user so they both serve me just fine. My only slight complaint is that when using the youtube website you can not see any notifications due to the difference in the software and this is the only mild complaint because it’s just for the youtube website. And I will confess that I attempted to side load the google play store but that doesn’t work anymore because amazon has caught on to that game and changed the software so that no longer can be done despite what people say. But overall I am happy with this tablet and the hd 8 plus and the prices were really good.

Really good price is right easy to use a lot quality

This is my 2nd Kindle and I love it! Sharp images and fast processor. Enjoy having my books to read and use my "Alexa" daily. Great screen quality to watch my Amazon prime on. I'm not a big picture taking person but the picture quality works for me. Plus it's easy to navigate.

I bought myself the Fire HD for a Christmas present to myself. I wanted it mostly to watch Netflix on it. It's got a great picture and so clear and the color is great on this tablet. So far it seems really easy to use but I'm still learning on it. I recommend this to all.

Replaced older and smaller kindle fire for my kids. The battery life is excellent on this model and I can't complain about the screen size. I wish the OS wasn't so limiting but I guess that is a good thing for parents wanting to limit their children's screen time.

This was excellent gift for my children and the geek squad policy on fixing it no matter damages was awesome could not ask for more

Bought 10" as a gift for internet beginner after I found out how much the Fires could access when I picked up a 7" for book reading myself. Recipient was worried about being able to find their way around programs and content, but this allowed me to preset apps and build a social media presence for them to explore easily from the screen icons with simple controls and not worry that they accidentally exposed all their personal info while trying to set up. It won't support all apps but when they're ready to move up to a lap top or computer they'll be swimming with their head above water.

Bought this for my 78 yr old mother in law and it’s perfect for her as she had not used technology until covid. Screen is big so it’s easy for her to see and it’s very easy to use . Great fir her spiritual zoom meetings and zoom dr visits. Great quality

If you are looking for a tablet to read emails, browse internet and maybe install some "Standard" Apps like Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, etc at an extremely reasonable rice, look no further. The size and rectangular shape (more rectangular than iPad) makes this iPad attractive to be use for videos and or movies. Speakers are not impressive but serve the purpose, but if you connect a Bluetooth headphones, you are all set for a wonderful experience. In my case I solely use it to run one app that controls an audio console, so I can remotely can control the console while playing, it is exactly what I need for a very affordable price. Overall, is a wonderful choice

I'm extremely happy with my purchase....this was an upgrade for me from the smaller kindle which I loved....I was impressed with how much bigger it was....also it has allot more memory space....and its much faster....so far I haven't had any problems.

I originally purchased an 8 inch for an elderly friend who issues with electronics - computer, phones and previous other brand tablets. A friend told me about the fire so I got it for her and she loves it due to its simplicity! I was so impressed I bought the 10 for myself and am very happy with all its features! My father became ill and using the computer was too difficult. I purchased this Kindle 10 for him because I knew Alexa could help him do things in a simple way and help him with doing simple tasks that were previously taken for granted and get help keep his sense of independence doing things himself. So you have it, three Kindles and three happy customers!!!

Very nice tablet for the price. For the money, this exceeds expectations. The one thing that I didnt like is that the amazon store has less apps to choose from than the android store, so limited in that regard. Make sure the Amazon app store has the app you are looking for if you need that app.
