Got this for my daughter and she loves it. Easy to use and a great size to watch movies on.

The screen size is impressive. However, it could hep if it broadened its apps. It’s extremely thin & light.

Amazon Fire 10 2019 release is just an awesome piece of gadget perfect for kids who are adopting to e-learning in COVID times. Nicely priced and discounted at Bestbuy, this offer is hard to beat. I will highly recommend it if you want a device that has all the basic streaming apps and kids-related education apps in nice HD format. I traded in my Amazon Fire 7 to better my deal. Thank you Bestbuy for being awesome.

Bought as a Xmas gift. It was the perfect gift for senior. Large screen, user friendly set up. Enough memory for messaging and photos.

So the new 2019 fire hd 10 went on sale for 99$. I just upgraded my headphones and thought it would be a great way to stream Amazon’s hd music. I was incorrect. To get to the Amazon HD Music, you have to have prime to get the Amazon music, you have to upgrade, and then pay for HD. Cost approximately 130$ a year depending. It gives you three levels of streaming standard quality, high DEF, and ultra high DEF. The Kindle fire HD 10 is unable to play the ultra HD. (It can play the song, just not at the ultra HD streaming bit rate.). I am not sure why, almost every other device out there, even including cheap phones, can. I do not understand why the device that is designed to bring your Amazon content, cannot give you the quality of content that you have to subscribe for, even though it is in the descriptive name of this fire hd tablet. The device itself is rather slow. They are talking about this 8 core processor, however I still find significant lag, just signing into something as simple as a silk browser. Now, I realize it is not the cost of an iPad, and certainly isn’t achieving that type of productivity. However, if they are going to advertise that it’s fast, it should at least stand up to a little bit of their advertising. Saying that, $99 on sale is an excellent price. The screen is very nice. It seems higher quality than its resolution actually suggests. I do like streaming movies from it at work, when I can get away with it. Overall, it is definitely worth it’s $99 price tag. If you are going to do any type of a demanding use, then spend a little more to get a little more. However if you’re just going to tool around and you don’t mind a little bit of lag, this is a great place to drop 99 bucks.

This tablet works very well if your primary use for it is to watch videos. However, I find it irksome of Amazon to restrict owners to only Amazon's play store for additional apps, games, etc. Everybody knows the Google store is vastly superior. But you can't download the Google store app from the Amazon store app. So what to do? Just go to Youtube and run one of their many videos on how to get the Google play store app onto an Amazon tablet. I did that and now I have both the Amazon and Google play stores on my tablet, no thanks to Amazon.

We bought two of these for our boys. They love to use audible as they read along. They enjoy hearing the voices of actual authors. As a former English teacher, I believe and promote this strategy of listening while reading to promote correct pronunciation of words, which also supports student automaticity and ultimately comprehension of text. Your public library also has free accounts for students to get audible.

Was looking for an iPad replacement. So used to that, it was a bit to move to another option. Glad we did. Very intuitive and does the trick for us. There is an advertisement upon startup or swipe. Can get rid of it for $25, but seriously, it's just like a screen saver and we haven't gotten around to eliminating it!
