Love the amazon echo easy to use. It connects to my thermostat will turn the temp up or down

I had purchased an Echo before for the Kitchen area a few years ago. It sounded so great, I decided to add another for the bedroom. It's hard to get a soft jazz station here at night, but not any more. Alexa is there to fill you musical desires whenever you call.

Alexa is fun. The setup isn’t difficult. We like it since it’s fun and convenient. Kids get a kick out it.

We were skeptical on purchasing the Echo for my 85 year old mother, as we thought it would have been to complicated. We could not have been more out of line. She loves it and has weirdly created a special bond with it...so we are all in a good place with Alexa!

The Amazon Echo 2nd gen has a lot of stuff that is much better than the first gen

I got this for my mother because I wanted to get something simple and easy to use. She loved it!

Great product, lost one star for an occasional hiccup now ans again with understanding what we are saying.

About the same as the 1st Gen except the 2nd Gen is a few inches shorter and has "clothing". I'm disappointed by the speaker volume so I don't really use it much which is a shame because the convenience and usefulness of Alexa is great, and I will recommend it because of that. But not to replace your stereo, surround sound, or even a half decent radio. But just for the ease of getting information without the need to type

Good item for all day music and can be used to find out information without using your computer

Love my echo but some times alexa doesn't understand and sometimes talks without being talked to.

Bought one for my stepmom for Christmas. She hemmed and hawed and tried telling me that she wouldn't use, thought it would be too complicated, all the usual stuff. But a quick demo of how to play music, check the weather was all it took for her to decide that it was awesome.

I purchased it for my husbands 80th birthday, but WE BOTH find it so much fun, and very helpful. However, when I ask about the weather, it always tells me another city. I would buy it again. Wish I had a smart phone to have it do other features.

I was able to easily connect to my tp-link smart lights which can be activated using the voice commands.

The initial setup was a little painful, but so far has been worth it. Our family mainly uses it to ask stream music, check the weather, and ask random questions. The only drawback is if you connect to a home receiver to play the streaming music, you have to tell Alexa to disconnect afterwards, if not, the TV sound continues to play through it along with your home theater speakers, which is an annoying echo. Other than that, the family loves it!

Who needs or has even used a phone book since technology has come out with computers online/echo's iphone's etc..? NOT ME LOL.. DO KIDS TODAY EVEN KNOW WHAT A PHONE BOOK IS OR HAVE THEY SEEN ONE? lol Alexa, When was the first phone book made?

It works very well. Alexa responds with not delay and precision upon request and the sound is great.

Good sound around. Some instruction has to be repeated in order to make it work.
