We call her the "A word" until we actually want to use her. Her hearing is so good she picks up her name even with a whisper. One of the best electronics I've ever owned.

This is an exceptional speaker. Alexa is able to make life a little bit easier each day.

Got this for my daughter. Amazon prime member, she wanted it for the speakers. If you do not need speakers, just get the dot.

Bought this to go with my Bose System. It works great to play my playlists through and ask a few fun questions to. Where it lacks, is it does not have a Google database. 9 times out of 10, you ask a question and Alexa says "I don't know that one." My guess is, that the Google one probably is connected to, well, Google so you might be able to ask many more questions that get answered. It works fine for what I bought it for. It will tell you the time, the weather and connect devices, but that is pretty much its limit. My family was disappointed. Marketing presents it much differently than it is.

quality as the 1st Gen, but smaller. Easy to carry, and easy to operate.

Great purchase this was, it has a lot of features that you can program. You can purchase the special outlets and command Alexa to turn on lamps at specific times each day. Great purchase.

I always wanted one of these and I’m glad I bit the bullet. This speaker is the reason I get up for work on time in the morning because it’s loud enough to get my attention. On top of that it’s just cool to have around the house.

These 2nd Gen Echo speakers are good value and decent sound for the money.
