Best speaker i brought. Now i have 2 plus the video one.

This is in my opinion, the best Echo created. - Great room filling sound, and nice looking, I like the slimmer, cylindrical better than the balls they seem to be making now. I have never had an issue with these, and am happy I purchased this one. I also own a few Google Home speakers and this unit is better than any of these.

Sounds very good after the Amazon update. This is a a great value at $99.

Wow, where do I begin? I LOVED my Amazon Echo 1st Generation. Sound quality was great, it was incredibly responsive and accurate. I was super excited for the 2nd generation. I don't know how this got passed Amazon's quality control. First and most important, the sound quality is much worse than the Echo 1. They are not even comparable. The 2nd generation sounds really muffled. I know its a smaller tweeter, but this sounds much worse. I played the two models side by side and there's no comparison. The Echo 1 sounds WAY better. Second, for whatever reason, the Echo 2 does not respond as fast as the Echo 1, if it responds at all. I've never had an issue with the Echo 1 not playing music, nor has there been much of a delay in response. The Echo 2 is incredibly slow and often does not complete my command. I'll ask it to play a song. Alexa says "Playing The Beatles." No music plays. Its not the volume because I heard Alexa respond. I even tried some trouble shooting techniques with no prevail. I hope this is just a bad batch and the Echo 2 gets better. If you don't believe me, check Amazon's user reviews on their website. This is really disappointing for an Amazon product and I will be returning this to Best Buy this weekend.

I love this products does everything I need it to do

I've had an Echo for the last year or so and love it. I'm really impressed by how well the microphone works on new Echo. It's able to hear me at normal speaking volume even across the room. It also does a much better job of picking me up over music and I no longer have to shout for it to hear me at high volumes. I can't stress how considerably improved the microphones are, and it's definitely a welcome upgrade. Unfortunately, the speakers were not treated to the same upgrades. The audio completely lacks bass making music sound tinny and hollow. The original Echo sounds much deeper and richer by comparison. The new Echo is better than the dot, but considerably worse than the first gen Echo. I am pretty disappointed as I was really looking forward to the upgrade but given how often I listen to music I don't think it's going to be a viable option. I will likely end up returning it.

We have started the smart home journey and added this speaker and several echo dots. We already had Sonos speakers and an Ecobee thermostat in place. Adding an echo dot and an Alexa speaker has just helped us expand our smart home 'voice controlling'. The ability to add routines using Alexa now allows us to control our Phillips Hue bulbs, our Lutron wireless switches, music and thermostat controls with a simple command.

My wife asked about it for Christmas. I didn't think much of it and was wondering what she would use it for. Well, this has been a pleasant surprise. You are able to add various skills to it to help command numerous things. In addition, it plays music on command and answers questions. It helps her organize her day. It helps you exercise. I had to buy another one after seeing the capabilities.

I now have three of these Echo- 2nd Generation and one Echo Plus! I plan to buy one more of these Echo 2nd Gen. and have five total Echos in my home. The sound is MUCH better than I originally expected. I highly recommend this!

I got this as a freebie when I purchased a new washer and dryer. It was a nice little bonus and was very simple to setup and use.

Love my echo. It’s is my second one. Love how they all can play music at the same time.

Alexa is helpful in reminding me things that I can’t write down myself. Setting up is really easy since I have an amazon account already. So no hassle

much better than Siri's voice recognition! used as PC speaker, also connect to house sonos system. very versatile.

This is my fourth Echo product and it is just as great as the others. Easy to set up and use.

You would think that 2nd generation would be an improvement but not in this case. Slow to respond and the sound quality is nowhere near as good as the 1st generation. The "twist" volume control has been replaced by up and down buttons which are not lighted. This can create a problem in a dark room when you try to figure out which button is which. The only plus feature for the 2nd gen is they added a speaker jack. Save your money and look for the 1st gen or buy a Dot and plug a good speaker into it.

Product arrived on time and performs as promised. Good quality product and sounds very good considering size. Although I thought it might be an intimidating process, the installation was quick and easy as described after downloading the "Alexa app' on my android phone. It connected easily to my home wifi network, and started working quickly. Pros - Quality device for a decent price. - Easy and quick setup. - Much easier to use than digging out my Android phone and saying "OK Google"
