I have an echo as well as an echo spot in my condo. The echo lives in the living room and primarily plays music when I'm home choring and controls the lights in the house. The speaker sounds fantastic for it's size and the ability to automate with my voice has been a game changer. I have routines for when I leave the house, when I get home, when I wake up and when I go to bed. It has become indispensable.

I received this speaker for free as part of a promotion for buying another smart appliance. Initially I thought I would gift it to a friend because I don't like devices listening to everything in the home. However, it is possible to turn the mic off. It is a little complicated to get it set up to link with various devices. I use it as a Bluetooth speaker for my phone and movie projector. It has great sound for such a small speaker, much better than my 2 Oontz stereo Bluetooth speakers. So I decided to keep it and not give it away. I do not use it control smart devices or order online or ask about the weather etc. etc. But it can do all these things and more.

Quality & sound all worth the price of purchases and so easy to use

I own many smart speakers, including Sonos and Homepod. The echo is easily the least impressive in terms of sound quality but it is also the least expensive. Unlike the Sonos, they have some sort of omnidirectional sound which I really like. Pair 2 and you’ll have a very decent setup. I find it to be perfect for a bedroom, office, or playroom. Just don’t pick these for your main listening room.

Great product. One of Amazon's best products. I was debating whether to get an Echo or Google Home. Since I'm a Amazon Prime member, the Echo is very convenient with Amazon services.

Great for keeping you informed and entertained. Got it for my wife after she saw it at my brother-in-laws. She is not very electronically savvy but only has to ask Alexa and can get entertained and informed. She loves 50*s music and can hear any song she wants just by asking ( subscription to Amazon music for 3.99 month). Also she doesn't have to ask me for the weather forecast anymore Thank Goodness!!!!!!!

This Amazon Echo is amazing. I have had it only 2 weeks and I love it. But I have sooo much more to learn on all the things it can do. So glad I bought this xmas present for myself!

Love my Alexas!!! Very easy to use. Recommend having one in every room of your house. I have 6 in various ones and listen to news or music while I shower, cook, clean etc. It’s great to ask Alexa to share the weather, define a word or add a few numbers that I can’t add in my head quickly. I’ve given these devices as Christmas gifts to family and friends. Useful, practical and entertaining all in one!
