Decent sound when listening to music. Use to turn lights on and off in the house.

I love my Echo. It sounds great, and it is so useful for setting up a smart home.

I've owned an Echo Dot for over a year now and have benefitted from using it. My kids love it as well. I've also seen how much it has improved over time by activating its skills. The full size Echo was a definite upgrade especially with its really loud speaker. It makes my Dot sound so little. I also feel that the sensitivity of the full size Echo was more enhanced than the smaller Dot.

For us Alexa has been a good investment but we are still learning all that it can do. Amazon advertises that Alexa is constantly learning new skills. It is really great for quick reminders and alarm clocks. It's easy to ask how far something is and for the weather. Alexa works well with Spotify as well as Amazon Music. The area where we were slightly disappointed was it can't control our 2yo Samsung Smart TV. We would have to buy a Harmony hub or a Fire Stick to use Alexa with our television.

This is our 4th Echo device for our home. I wanted another full size Echo for our living room because the sound is better than on the Echo Dot and we like to stream music. Alexa answers questions, tells us the weather, orders pizza for us, plays music, plays games, controls our Nest thermostat, and turns our lights on and off all over the house. I’m not sure how we lived without her.

Originally Sceptical about getting this device, as why is it needed? Got on sale and used award certificates to give it a try. At the very least, it is a good, Bose, bluetooth speaker. The Echo does much more, I haven’t even touched its capacities. It plays music apps, including iHeart radio. It works as timer, reminder, alarm clock. It will give weather conditions, notifications of packages delivered, and has sound machine. The weird part is getting used to talking to it for commands.

The amazon echo has been a great addition to the household. My six year old son can ask Alexa to play pretty much any song he wants without having to use the computer or handle cds. He also loves to ask Alexa to tell him a joke or call my cellphone. This echo is also much louder than the echo dot we have.

This is a really good speaker with smart voice control system. Easy to set up.

I use my echo in the kitchen to set timers while cooking and to manage a shopping list. Instead of a writtten list I just tell Alexa to add items to shopping list and I then access them on the alexa app on my phone while shopping. Worth it just for this. Also use it to play music while cooking. Sound quality is fine.

Sound is fantastic. The look and design is much better than previous version.

I can't say enough about this device. I purchased an Echo Dot and enjoyed it very much, but always felt a little lacking when listening to music. This fixed that problem. It has a great speaker. It's not comparable to a high end Bluetooth speaker (which you can connect this to easily), but it is more than enough to fill my living area without harsh mids like the Dot had. Get it.

This Amazon Echo does the same thing my Echo dot does, but it has a much better speaker. It is plenty loud and can be heard easily from a different room. I use it to play music, as an alarm and timer, to give me weather information and tell me how long my morning commute to work will be and It works well with my Wemo smart plugs. If you are into gadgets, you will love this.

Got this when they were on sale for buying multiple. The price point was awesome. I love being able to tell it what I want to listen to and having music start. I have started adding other smart items to the home as well. The ability to control lamps with my voice is fun. Controlling them remotely to mess with my wife is even better. I have purchased wifi plugs from different companies and Alexa has had no problems adapting to all of them. The sound on this is good but not mind blowing. It definitely doesn't compete with speakers intended only to be speakers but for the size it produces good sound. It has a decent amount of bass. It gets fairly loud. I wish there was a way to control some of the audio settings but who knows what functionality they will add down the line.

I was a bit cautious about buying this- but it went on sale and I figured, even if I hate it I can return it... Well, I LOVE IT! I am not a super-tech-savvy guy, but I had it set up and playing music within 20 minutes of it being delivered to my home. I used my iPad to "install" it (after getting the free Alexa app), and that was it. No problems. Sound is fantastic, and even though I bought it mainly for the music, I can see me using it to ask about the weather, how far it is to the nearest Domino's pizza, and how late does my local grocery stay open. If you like to listen to music and ask general questions, this is fantastic. If you are really interested, you can do all kinds of other stuff with it. I think I will keep it simple. Highly recommended!
