This device is easy to use and works with several of our home automation devices. Good for weather reports, playing music and of course making purchases from Amazon.

New addition to go along with original Echo and existing dots. Works as expected and the smaller profile is nice. Performance is slightly improved over the original.

I have connected lights, direct tv, carrier hvac and so much more with this and a little more toys. What nice way to integrate my smart home into one easy product.

My family has a blast asking Alexa a multitude of different questions. The speaker built in good quality great for listening to music while cleaning or cooking.

Most people will get the Echo Dot and then complain about the microphones or sound quality - the Dot is a great way to introduce yourself to the Alexa ecosystem, but it pales in comparison to its big brother. The biggest different (beyond the sound quality) is the microphones. The Dot only has 2, which does not cancel out excess noise or hear individuals very well. This version has a full away of 8, better able to hear you across the room and cancel out any noise to hear you better. If you are done experimenting and want to really utilize Alexa in the proper fasion - get this Echo!

I got this for my mother as a birthday gift. Personally have the Echo Dot myself. She loves the speaker quality on this one. Definitely worth the extra money!

Easy to set up and does a great job at providing quick responses. Works from kitchen to den for voice commands and hearing speaker. That is about 50feet away.

I use this everyday to wake me up and set reminders for meetings and activity for the day. In addition I can answer my calls with ease while I am multitasking on other stuffs.

Works better then expected. For such a small size it fills my great room amazingly well. Also faster then my last gen echo dots. Great upgrade in my opinion.

I love having the ability to change my music station, volume and have a question answered without stopping whatever I am doing to fine my phone or IPad and look it up. The convenience is awesome. Bought one for my 80 year old mom who is electronically challenged and she loves it

This Echo is so fantastic. Alexa is my new best friend. Turning my lights on and off. Changing my Dish channels. Who needs friends when you’ve got the Echo?

I have multiple Echo dots and the full size Echo. Really liked this generation. The felt material looks a lot nicer than the others. Sounds is good quality.

Earlier in the year I picked up one of these for my kitchen to replace an Echo Dot that just didn't do a very good job of actually playing music. I was so happy with that purchase that I picked up a second for my home office when they went on sale again. Let me be clear- this is not an audiophile level of audio quality, but it is light years better than the dot, and I would say that it is good enough for any casual background music use. I have heard the Sonos speaker that is right about the same size and I would say that this Echo is just as good for 90-99% of usage, though it cannot match the more expensive speaker's clarity at high volume. But this isn't just a speaker, it is an Alexa powered SMART speaker. I am pretty much all in with a Tap, Dots, Echos, lighting controls etc...o I really like the features available with the Alexa ecosystem. Sure, my son really gets a kick out of corny jokes and asking for rude noises, but I am still learning new ways to put the system to use for hands free control, intercoms, phone calls and yes, even listening to music. Since I have adopted the system I have seen a maturation of the interface with far fewer instances of "odd" behavior or false readings from the speakers. Sure, they are in my home and listening to me all the time, but for some reason that doesn't bother me at all.

The Queen of the smarthome is easily reachable in this newly designed echo package. She got a much needed redesign that helps her hideaway when not needed.

It sets up very quickly and easily. You just need to spend a little time understanding how skills work and which ones to add. Love that I can request music artists and albums. Sound is full and clear. You can fall asleep and wake to music of your choosing. And you can message other users you know or as an in-house intercom (if you own a second device). I'm all in with Amazon Alexa.
