Note that this Echo is not a "smart" one that can control stuff around your house. Having said that, it's great hands-free music player, esp if you have Prime, and I think the sound is pretty good. (Audiophiles may disagree, but it's good enough to fill a room, and a little better than the 1st gen IMO. It's also got a smaller overall profile, so it blends in a little better, and gray fabric's pretty neutral.) You can use it for hands-free control of a Fire TV or Fire Stick, which is my plan.

This thing looks good, sounds good, and is very convenient. We use it primarily for listening to music. Unfortunately, Spotify often gives us problems when we request to listen to specific songs. We ask for a specific Beatles song, and it plays a cover of the song. We ask again and also say by the Beatles, and it plays the song by a Beatles tribute band. We ask again, with more info, and then it will play a Live version of the song. Really, how about just play the popular version that was a #1 hit? Or can this robot that can understand human language and predict what detergent I might need in 14 days from now really not figure out that I want to hear the studio album version of a hit song from one of the top bands of all time?

great speaker, decent volume and bass. works great with Alexa and controls my wifi plugs and can control lights verbally. pretty cool.

really like this thing, pretty handy and the sound quality is better than I thought it would be. also use it for the hue lights. pretty cool.

Works great. Use it to schedule meetings, order items from Amazon, and play music.

This was very easy to set up I have it connected to the TV and she's easy to listen to and she recognizes my voice easily

This speaker sounds great, Alexa is awesome. You can set timers , reminders, etc.

Sometimes you have to yell at Alexa just for her to listen but love it otherwise.

amazon echo / alexa is a must for every home. Smart device, well worth the money.

I've owned an Echo dot and the first gen Echo prior to this one, definitely improved with the design aspect. Sound quality is great.

Bought this as a gift for my dad and he loves it. He is not very savvy when it comes to anything electronic but is able to manage this. He wanted this just to play music when ever he wants and it does the job. The speaker is really clear.

Love mine, so got for a friend, I use mine for security and music, friend would come over and ask Alexa to play songs...friend has had a small stroke, he seems to be able to use and we hope that maybe he will play some memory games

Love this speaker its amazing and easy to carry around not to heavy just perfect and the volume is very loud for such a small speaker.

I love my alexa products , this was for my granddaughter in Ohio. I think it has been a positive thing for my family , we are able to keep in touch more. With the show we talk like we were just setting at the kitchen table together. At night the kids listen to music before going to sleep or call to say good night. We all live in different states. I have an original echo loved it , then got a dot and then got the show for myself and 2 daughters. We have been able to spend time together and that would not be possible before.

Easy to install. It has very good sound while listening to music. It does everything is said it would do.

I really like the new look and ease of using my Echo (2nd generation)! The sound that comes from this device is awesome!

The speaker isn’t perfect but it is a significant step up from the echo dot.
