Overall, satisfied and getting better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall, i am satisfied with the Echo. it readily connected to Hue bulbs, Bose wireless speakers and Ecobee thermostat with little effort. There was a lot of conflict between Echo, SmartThings hub, and Ecobee thermostat . None of the 3 customers service contacts could help, only later resolved by removing the hub altogether. Alexa appears to be adding more smart home functionality and getting better at answering "google search" questions. As i have added more devices to my home, the connection process continues to be straightforward.

Great Help for seeing impaired

I set it up for them, which was pretty simple. They are now able to ask "Alexa" the time, set timers for medication, play oldies and save items to their shopping list so that someone else can retrieve list and shop for their items. For them it is a lifesaver!
