The sound quality is decent. It doesn't fill a room or anything, but it does what it needs to do. Overall I'm pretty pleased.

I bought it as a bluetooth speaker for my desktop. I've had to disable that and continue to use my wired speakers. I have a laptop (work) and desktop and switch between them. The Echo regularly reports "Now connected to desktop". This cannot be muted or the volume changed - it is loud. This has been complained about with Amazon. It occurs when I switch between computers, when I receive a message to my desktop, .. If I'm on a conference call on my laptop it is a major irritation (Echo is connected to my desktop).

Took it back to BB store for a refund and was told I had to go directly to Netflix. At the very least Best Buy should have taken back the failed gift card and issued a replacement although I would have preferred a refund due to the fact I had to activate service with additional own funds to get the football game that day. Bad policy that services Best Buy not the customer. I would expect

My gen 2 echo and my ecobee thermostat with Alexa sounds better. To make it worse, you need to be standing over it and yell to get it to wake up. I am returning it.
