Alexa and I sleep together every night. She plays soft meditation music, and I snore. She wakes me up at 8 am, tells me the weather and the usual kerfuffles and ramblings of the humans, and then she plays my favorite tunes as I dance my way into the day. Love this and love the design. Here’s a hack. Tell her this: “Up Up Down Down Left Right Left Right B A Start” Watch what she says.

Sound is great it plays my readings daily and is clear

I bought it to use with audible and to use with my bose headphones. I haven't paired it with the headphones yet. But just asking general questions my phone is much better and more accurate. Alexa doesn't always come up with helpful or the right info for what you are asking. She gets names wrong quite a bit of the time. We find it more hilarious when she gives us obviously wrong info but if you were really trying to get the right info it can be frustrating. Also if there were a emergency there is no way for it to call 911? Seems like that would be a very helpful function if you fell or didn't have your phone near if you needed help. Speaker is pretty good sound for the size. You just tell it to turn up or down volume.

I was initally worried about my purchase after seeing the mixed reviews about the sound quality, voice recognition. It is good and works fine.. it takes time in night to recognize voice.. hub is good

Bought this for the living room and moved my 2nd gen into the bedroom. Works well and appears to be an upgrade. Sound and Bass sound better than the 2nd gen, Also, has more features like sensing movement. Overall, I enjoy it for all my smart home devices and features like the lights, tv, music, news, etc.

We have a couple of these in our living room. They sound very good, especially for their size. We have given them as gifts to some of our relatives because we think they are great, when on sale.

Best Echo device by far! The sound is great, but not audiophile quality. The hub feature is the icing on the cake. So far I have over 25 smart bulbs controlled via zigbee. Will definitely buy at least another one.

Love this! Easy to set up and use. She even knows who is talking by your voice. My 81 year old mom lives with me and she uses this easier than her phone. Puts my mind at ease to know when my mom is alone she has Emergency access just with her voice.
