For whatever reason they are not compatible. I had the Geek Squad come over to hook it up but they were unsuccessful. It could not turn the TV on or off. It also could not go to different channels or apps. Big disappointment.

If you are wanting to control your TV and smart home devices, you may want to consider the Fire TV Cube instead of the Echo 4th Gen. Most Samsung TVs are compatible with Alexa, but some have it already built in. Without knowing the TV model number, we are unsure, but we would love to help you further. And the clerk told me there was no monthly fee to use it. Now I find out I need to pay $3.99 monthly to get some of the music I have requested. That is a big disappointment to me. I try to believe the clerks and expect them to know how to use it. The sound is good. I am happy for that.

Glad I did. My family and I have had loads of fun with all of the different options and especially with the light controls. Very cool how it has multiple language options which is a must in my house.
