If you want great sound a dedicated speaker would be better but as background music this is fine. Alexa is very helpful. She controlls all my lights.

It has a temp sensor but you can only use it for routines. You can’t ask Alexa the temp maybe in the future with a update. Sound not great get a sonos for sound quality

Everyone should have the Echo and Echo Dot!

The Dot replaced my clock radio and the Echo has a great speaker system for listening to our favorite tunes. Alexa is so smart and knows everything!

I think they did this so you can't set anything on top of it, making so that people don't accidentally damage their own products by settings cups or something on it. That being said I liked where I was able to put the old one, and this one doesn't fit there anymore due to it's new shape. It's a bit too large to be convenient.
