I had Bose for music and could get the time and weather on my phone. A person i volunteer with told me how much more having a Echo could do. Now i talk with Alexa every day, make reminders, set alarms, hear a funny joke and listen to music!

I have not compared it to the version that is not premium sound. This devices sound quality is about the same as the echo show 8 which has a screen for about the same cost.

Nice for the sound

Amazon falls short on the treble but it packs a punch when listening to music. The ball shape is not the idea characteristic for traveling but thats minor.

Great addition to the family!

I thought Siri on my iPhone is good enough yet Alexa can do much more with easy voice activation. We listen to classical piano, Jazz, party music, K-POPs, etc. Also, my son is having fun every day with daily jokes and even with greetings every morning and night. I am now considering getting one for myself to place in my office.
