I have not compared it to the version that is not premium sound. This devices sound quality is about the same as the echo show 8 which has a screen for about the same cost.

I thought Siri on my iPhone is good enough yet Alexa can do much more with easy voice activation. We listen to classical piano, Jazz, party music, K-POPs, etc. Also, my son is having fun every day with daily jokes and even with greetings every morning and night. I am now considering getting one for myself to place in my office.

For whatever reason they are not compatible. I had the Geek Squad come over to hook it up but they were unsuccessful. It could not turn the TV on or off. It also could not go to different channels or apps. Big disappointment.

If you are wanting to control your TV and smart home devices, you may want to consider the Fire TV Cube instead of the Echo 4th Gen. Most Samsung TVs are compatible with Alexa, but some have it already built in. Without knowing the TV model number, we are unsure, but we would love to help you further.
