The dot is a good David for a small room. Speaker is not that loud.

I don't use it as much as I thought I would, does pair well though.

This little gem is fabulous! I teach science and social studies, and the Echo Dot is great for real-time teaching with the ability to have Alexa search for answers to questions students have during lessons.

I use Dots as a cheaper alternative to the full blown echo. They are far less expensive because they contain a rudimentary speaker and small amp. They're fine if you pair them to a Bluetooth speaker, but I primarily use them for automation, I wouldn't recommend them for listening to music.

Highly recommended for a small room such as bedroom, den, small game room. I could see the sound quality suffering when not hooked up to a bigger sound system in a larger room. which is what they recommend.

I got this to go along with my echo. I have a Bluetooth speaker that it connects to and works perfect!! Sound is no where close to the echo, but neither is the price. I ended up buying 2 I liked it so much.

The Amazon Echo is a fantastic little gadget. Plug in an external bluetooth speaker and you have a great voice activated speaker that can complete internet searches for you, play music or organize your day.

The Echo Dot seems to be built very well. Could use it as a paper weight. We have used it a bit here and there, there seems to be more skills that are coming out so it has been fun to use. The kids like it.

Buy one for every room it's an asweome device. 4 star the app is the best part. You can turn off anything you don't want Alexa to access. Make sure you put a voice pin before you set up online ordering

I have at least one of each size/kind. This one has the lowest quality speaker, but works great when you want to connect to Alexa all over the house. Just use an Echo or Tap if listening to music

Not a big fan of Amazon, but the unit does what it is supposed to do. Found it had a hard time with my voice (don't like to shout/repeat myself/have an accent), so it was frustrating at times. However, I liked the concept enough to upgrade to a Tap and give it one of my children.

The echo dotvis great for controlling your Samsung smart home products as well as helping you shop on Amazon. If you use Amazon shopping slot it will track your orders and let you reorder past items.

I purchased the Echo Dot 2nd Generation for my 8 year old son. He was extremely excited to have his own, He basically uses it more than I use the other dots throughout the house, LOL!!!

My only complaint is in the set up when is very confusing when you're trying to pair the device with Bluetooth speaker if you've already paired another device it just doesn't show up has an option

I connected the Echo first and later the Dot. It works really good. Alexa is the best thing since ice cream. My house and car is connected and I have had no issues. The Dot works in smaller rooms very well.

Having the Echo Dot has doubled the value of our original Echo purchase. Intercommoning with the kitchen, alarm clock, changing the thermostat, and checking the temperature by voice - just great

This was the hot item for us for Christmas 2016. We had purchased in total 7 at the sale price. Kept 3 for each of my household. Everyone was excited to receive there's and are having a great time with it.

Have not really used a lot of the skills, using it mostly to control wifi controlled outlets to manage lights around the house. At least once a day I ask Alexa to look something up for me.
