Works better than expected. I had to buy multiple echos for every room in the house. Amazon has their books in me now. Controls my light bulbs and TV. This one sits right behind my tv.

I bought this one because it has an external speaker jack and connected it to my stereo. Works fantastic. You gotta pay for a music subscription if you really want to get all the music you want, otherwise you get samples.

Neat little product. Still prefer the Google Home over this.

I primarily use for timer, news and listening to radio but it has a lot of options too.. Alexa is getting lot improvements on every update. Never let you down. Can be connected to Philips hue.

love getting the weather, information about my work commute and the news while I get ready for work in the mornings. love streaming music, etc so much fun learning the different skills

I gave this to my husband as a birthday present after he talked so much about wishing he had one and loved playing with the one his boss has in his office. I still see no point in it, lol.

I have the echo in the main area of my home. I bought the dot to use in a bedroom. I love it! Certainly doesn’t have the sound of the echo but wouldn’t expect it to at the price point.

The Amazon Echo Dot works great. The speaker is plenty loud. I've used it with my Harmony smart remote hub to turn on the TV and play music. It's great for looking something up in a hurry.

Was not a fan of this item. If you are a frequent amazon shopper then this is a great item for you. If not I would reccomend the google home. The google home worked much better and was way easier to setup then the dot.

Mostly that. maybe a corny joke or control some basic features around the house. would be nice if tied into smart TVs and other bluetooth devices but maybe that's asking too much at the moment.

It’s an Echo dot. Not much to say other than it’s another place to shove Alexa into your life. Love to use these with the holders that hang onto the outlets so they are out of site, but you can say “hey Alexa” from anywhere.

This product is a good way to get your feet wet with the Amazon Voice Command Products. No problems so far. I mainly use for music, weather updates, and setting alarms. Waiting for Amazon to offer more useful skills that I use. Currently working on a way to integrate this into my car.

Alexa has a hard time recognizing what you are asking half the time. And unless you read up on the capabilities in full, it's hard to know what it is capable of. If you purchase the compatible items, it's nice for lighting, etc.

Not enough sound to supply entire space that I need it to.

I bought a pair just as cool gadgets. They work pretty well. I look forward tot getting affordable smart plugs to work with Alexa. Needs a little more information so it can be more intuitive, but I hate to say it...better than Siri (I won't replace my iPhone, iPad or MacBook though).

I bought this to listen to music but it does so much more. You can ask it anything and if you pay the 3.99 a month for amazon music you just ask Alexa to play a song and she plays it.

If you already have seen Amazon's Echo Dot in action, you won't find any surprises here. (If you haven't, where have you been?) What you will find is a new color that might fit into your decor a little bit better, allowing Amazon to take over yet another room in your home.

THIS LITTLE DEVICE IS REALLY GREAT! IT IS SO RESPONSIVE AND FUN TO USE. I HAVE ONE IN EACH OF OUR ROOMS AND I OFTEN USE AS AN INTERCOM AS WELL AS FOR MUSIC AND INFORMATION!

Works great but no charging port!! What's up with that?????

I was unsure if I would like the system, but my daughter got one and I loved all the things it did, so I was sold. I had to rename my as echo so our commands were not being confused.
