We have a couple of these but bought for my mother-n-law. It has been very good for her to make phone calls and find info on. She loves it and wished she had it sooner.

I have both the Echo Dot with Alexa and the Google Home with the Google Assistant in the same room. The Google Assistant hears me fine from anywhere in the large room. Alexa only here's me when I am in close proximity. I like the way Alexa can learn complex actions with the skills concept, but I prefer the answers of my day to day questions and to play Music from the Google Home. I got the Echo Dot because it has a skill to control my DishNetwork via voice. This is working well, but calling across the room to Alexa is frustrating. I am always yelling at her to get her to hear me. If you have no reason such as a particular skill the Echo can do the Google Home can't I would skip the Echo Dot and get the Google Home or Google Home mini instead.

Have nothing bad to say about the echo dot. Small and can be placed just about anywhere you need it. Great for the whole family and planning to purchase more for my home.

I can't tell you how much we enjoy our DOT. Unbelievable what it does. BTW, have fun with the "Easter Eggs". I went over to Amazon and bought the Evo battery making the DOT totally portable.

i can say when i first got my Dot, i was super excited but having used it a while, it needs a lot of work. There are way too many issues to mention but it is the most supported of voice control available.

Works well.. Very sleek. Alexa pics up words very very quick. Her voice is clear as day. I was very surprised when I had gotten it just how knowledgeable she really was

I gave Alexa as a gift the person that received it loves it,it's a great gift for anyone any age simple and fun to use , I will definitely be buying more to give as gifts in the future !

I added this to my upstairs area since I have an echo downstairs working with a Phillips hue hub, it connects as well and controls the same lighting the downstairs echo does, nice extension.

I bought a full-featured Echo Plus and this Dot, but the Dot did everything I needed so I returned the Echo Plus. Unless you need the larger speaker or smart hub, just get the Dot.

The girls screamed with joy when they received these as a gift. They make an affordable gift for teenagers. The alarm wakes them up every morning for school. Great!

Amazon hasn't yet perfected the voice commands and it becomes frustrating when you find yourself repeating commands over and over again. All in all I enjoy the convieneces. Concerned with privacy and I'm monitoring what and when this device records. I have owned for about 6 weeks.

I love Alexa ince I'm a big Amazon person. It works fine the setup is a but much you have to download the app, then set it up. Mines didn't connect right away. Sound isn't the loudest but good for commands or request. For music I would connect a speaker.

This is literally the exact sane product as the amazon echo which costs about 4 times as much. You just need your own speaker and you're set! It can even control your smart home. Love it!

You cannot go wrong with Echo dot. Love the audio and mic quality. App is awesome. Best for home automation cos I feel it does it better and faster than the Google Home.

Got a question? Ask Alexa. She turns on the lights and lets me know about my amazon orders. Great edition when in the kitchen too for keeping lists.

On a One-Day deal from Best Buy, I bought an Echo Dot and wemo smart plug. They work really well together. Am buying another Dot for my spouse's office and more mini wife smart plugs.

It has really changed my music consumption in the home. By having no barrier to so many platforms the amount of music, podcast, and news my family listens to has increased substantially.

This is good for small bedroom or kitchen mainly to keep alarm or reminders. You can talk over calls but u may need to be little closer than echo to give same request. If it's your only device music may be ok in terms of volume n clarity. Choose as per ur use

I love that she can tell me when my Amazon packages will arrive. Also updates with the weather forecast. My grand children also love to ask trivia questions.

I have found this to be useful for spelling words and telling me the weather. These things are all options from Siri though so it's kinda redundant. Good for when the kids need those options since they don't have an iPhone.
