I haven't mastered this little device, but I can tell you Alexa will wake you up in the morning, tell you the current and forecast weather, etc. I have a lot to learn, but I think it will be worth it.

This is a great add on to our already Echo Plus. Every room now has an Echo Dot. Intercom. Multiple room music, alarms, etc. The family loves the Echo network and add on devices.

I have not yet used all of the options available to me, but I am enjoying the Echo Dot. Great for a laugh and information. Watch out though. When you or even your television says Alexa (or anything that sounds like Alexa) she turns on and records anything being said. Lol.

First let me say I have no issue with the speaker not being the best as that was expected since I didn't buy the Echo. The reason I didn't give this 5 starts is because it is still limited, one of the best on the market but not for long, I may switch to the Google Home as it can play the same music on multiple speakers throughout the house and integrates with Smartthings which is what everything in my house communicates through anyway. It is nice but still has quite a quite of improvement before I would recommend buying more than one to play with, also there are some names it has a difficult time understanding such as Alisha, it says it does't A lisa's lamp as a device when I named a lamp Alisha's Lamp. I can't rate the shopping as I don't have that turned on.

Bought it for my mother. She's technologically challenged but she loves it and has no problem using it. She's added smart bulbs and cameras that she controls with it.

All the power of Echo and only a third the cost! Has some difficulty hearing questions if there is a lot of background noise and/or if there's too much noise, but that's to be expected.

I Use Alexa Everyday. It's So Helpfully For My Everyday Needs. Also Works Great With My 2 Smart Plugs. I'm So Glad I Made This Purchase And The Great Deal Best Buy Had Going On.

At this price thought this might not give me the speed I was hoping for. I was completely wrong. My speeds quadrupled. If you need a new inexpensive wireless router this is the one.

Bought 3 of these for our house. Everyone was so impressed they all got their own. If you have a Prime account then you're totally set as a music player. Connects to other devices easily.

I have a Amazon Echo in the living room and Echo dots in the bedroom, office and bathroom. I can command Alexa from any part of my apartment to answer questions or turn lights on or off.

I purchased out of curiosity. Pretty happy with the Echo Dot the Alexa software is great at keeping lists streaming music and giving news. My next purchase will be the full sized Echo

Good addition to Amazon Echo (would work great also standalone). Added it to expand the capability to second room. Works great. Like the Line out option to connect to an external speaker.

The Echo Dot came as a gift with the Ring Doorbell. I would be disappointed if I had paid for it. For a freebie it's ok. If you are an Amazon prime member, then you are in business. Otherwise most others things you want it to do will cost you.

I've been happy with how easy it's been to integrate this with my Samsung Smartthings hub. Turning lights on/off (which is the main reason I got it) works great. However, the Echo is not so good at answering basic questions, like "What time does [a restaurant] close?" More often that not, it cannot answer the question I ask it. It also thinks it's being talked to all the time. They really need to change their trigger word (i.e. - "Alexa") to a trigger phrase (e.g. = "Okay, Google"). I do like the ability to have it play music by asking things like "Play workout music". The speaker is not great, but you can hook it up to your home audio system. I also have this connected to my Harmony remote, and it is minorly useful but mostly a gimmick.

Has done everything I expected except that it did not hook bluetooth wise with another speaker. The volume when playing music was not the greatest either, which is why I wanted to hook it to another speaker. The quality of the sound for music is just okay, but what I expected.

Nice being able to use these to talk to someone on other side of house instead of yelling. really cool. dont have to yell to get kids attention. just tell alexa to call. love it

Together with Amazon Music Unlimited, its very entertaining to call up whatever music you want to hear. Also, weather, news, and then just fun stuff like jokes or sound effects!

got it for 30 bucks on the holiday season deal. very good value for what it does. it's nothing too fancy and won't make a big impact on your every day life, but it's nice to have a convenient little machine that you can ask simple questions and perform simple tasks

I wish that I was able to get 3 of them. Alexa is a cool product that will only get better with time. It is really a time saver although I wish that some tasks were more intuitive.
