This is our 3rd one put this one in the bedroom. You can use this for everything. We lock the doors adjust the thermostat and have 3 lights we can run with it.

A great pairing device for the main up. I set this up the master bedroom and use it to call my wife when dinner is ready.....Definitely make sure it is hooked up to solid speakers.

Nice not to have to remember to set Alarm or if u wonder what the weather is just ask Alexa. She has all these skills u can add and u can ask her most things and she has the anwser

Smaller than the bigger each, yet just as useful. Makes a great alarm clock as well as handy to update you on weather, sports, and all other subjects you may want to ask Alexa.

Outstanding product. The only improvement area I can think of is a more intuitive interface with the Alexa App, Also, the ability for Alexa to make app suggestions would be most helpful.

My boyfriend and I LOVE Alexa! I love being able to get the weather quickly and I use the shopping list feature daily. We are excited to get the Fire stick and use Alexa with that too!

It works, but the sound quality is nowhere near as good as the full-sized Echo. If you plan on listening to much music through it I feel the taller Echo is better (understandably, with more room for better speakers).

Can't live without it. Most of my house is automated so I just tell my echo dot to turn on my lights or turn thermostat up to 75 degrees etc. This was a great addition to my automation.

I was very interested in the Echo and respective echo dot based on potential functionality. While there are some good qualities, the overall voice automation and functionality haven't lived up to the hype yet. Pros: sound quality for music is fantastic, kids enjoy asking Alexa questions, overall family fun. Cons: even after a full month of learning my voice, Alexa continues to frequently answer "I don't know what you are asking", at random times, Alexa will start talking without any prompt, setting up additional controllable items and syncing are not as easy as Amazon would have you believe, and worst experience....every time an amazon echo commercial comes on tv to promote the product, my Alexa replies to the TV commercial as if it were me saying "Alexa...."

I don't know how I ever lived without Alexa in my home. I use it every day. She can turn on and off my lights, give me a tech update, set a timer for me... Love you, Alexa!

After having our Dot for a few months, it’s hard to remember what life was like without it. We use it daily, and was a fairly inexpensive first step towards home automation. Not sensitive enough for our 2 story loft though, but 2 work great in the space we’re in!

Good use out of this for starters. Setup and use is easy. I now have 6 echo dots across my home. As well as 2 echos, fire tv cube, 4 amazon smart plugs and echo show.

No more fumbling at night to turn down an alarm clocks music, or to reach for the alarm clock. This is excellent to have next to the bedside and controlled all via voice activation

We added a second dot for our two-story home to become a computer intercom between two home offices. After installation, we’ve been able to use Dot to enhance our audio library

Got this for my parents christmas, they love it. I already have in my house and love it too. Very handy when asking whats the weather today or this week. thumbs up !

We love our Alexa! The kids love asking her questions. I love connecting her with the speaker and listening to my music! Still needs a little bit of tweeking for word recognition and I would love for her to "know" more by having a wider access to information, BUT we love her!

I nabbed this for my parents. They love it. It works well for a music box and is a glorified TV remote. This coupled with a TP-Link makes for a voice remote. Take that Comcast!

We have an Echo at home, so I bought the Echo Dot for my wife to use in her classroom at work. She is getting to know more and more about it's capabilities every day, and loves it!

Im not a fan of the privacy track record Amazon has but I was in need of a device that would allow my young children to contact my wife and i in an emergency. This was the lease expensive solution.
