I got this for a Christmas present. It is so fun to use. We set it up with spotify music and also Pandora. I cant wait to get the smart features to be able to run my home with it.

Now I can just say, what's my commute, what time is, turn on radio, my son does homework is just so perfect, so far we have 3 of them... just live them....

I purchased the Echo to automate my phone and be able to speak to my lights and thermostat. So far i love it, however, at times i have to yell at Alexa. Sometimes it is frustrating that she doesn't understand what I am asking for. However, overall it has been great.

OK, the features on this device are unique compared to Google Home. The Alexa Deal's are cool and you can really find some great bargains. Amazon Music is a must with the device!

This echo dot is fantastic. It tracks the weather, traffic.Ask it just about anything. I have my home thermostat and lighting conected to it.Can't wait to hook up my home theater.

I got one a little over two years ago and now it isn’t working so well. It’s needed for an elderly man so it must work. Therefore a new one. It gets used a lot.

The Echo is great for asking many things like the weather, when my favorite team plays, starting timers when cooking, pausing my Directv programming with my Harmony, etc.

I find the Echo useful in asking it things like what the weather is. Also, good for setting an alarm or for scheduling. Even the ability to leave messages on a friends echo. Downfall is that it sometimes misunderstands you so you have to repeat yourself.

Actually the entire family enjoys having the dot. She provides update at request and can search many songs. The only negative is you need an amazon music subscription to get full version of songs. And she doesn't play clean version of songs without the subscription.

Good unit to give as a gift and useful if you want to automate your home from lighting and monitoring the electrical energy you consume on a monthly or weekly basis.

I'm sure she does other stuff, some of it you have to train her, just like a kid. Fun to play with, sometimes a little frustrating when she doesn't know or understand. Purchased the instruction book but Alexa forgot to read parts of it. Just a toy that talks to you.

My kids really loved this product because it talks to them and will answer most questions. The skills are fun. Alexa is not always responsive and sometimes loses its connection. Also I would recommend purchasing smart home devices when you purchase this.

This is an addition to my Amazon Echo that I bought last year. I needed a second one for a different area of my house and this was just the right way to enhance my Echo experience

"Ok". Have 2 of these around my house and as I unfortunately do not utilize all of the features Aelxa has to offer, what I do use it for, works like a charm!

I got this for my boss and his wife and she loves it. She is a stay at home mom with two toddlers so having this device as an extra helping hand has been very beneficial to her!

Bought this as a gift for my parents. They mostly just ask it for the weather, but it can do more. It's simple for what they use it for and they like it.

It's this or the Google Home Mini. About the same price. If you have a Prime membership, or think you might soon, go with the Echo Dot. Then start building a smart home.

Amazing device for such a reasonable price. Friends have a blast with the music and games and general Alexa Q&A. The only thing preventing a 5th star is that you have to request music pretty specifically for her to find a station to play, but it's a learning process.

Hooked it up to my DLink smart plugs and KASA light fixtures without too much effort. I wish it could play in stereo via Bluetooth speakers and still more frustrating that it doesn't run through my playlist but still worth the sale price.

I like the idea of the product, but I would like more control over the skills. I realize Alexa is a work in progress, but I would like a more standardized news reading. I would also prefer the ability to listen through the speaker and the 3.5mm jack simultaneously.
