The Echo Dot is a less expensive item to purchase to see if you would like this smart home feature. If you find that you use this product frequently, you can invest in some of the more expensive features such as light bulbs or the bigger Echo.

The DOT is very informational and fun!! Ask it just about anything, and it gives you an answer. It was a hit during the NYGiants playoff game party we had at our house!!

The Dot is pretty fair value. I placed it in the kitchen and use it most often as a cooking timer and for iHeart radio. You really can't go wrong for the price.

Alexa is fun for like 3 days, until the novelty of yelling the same thing over and over and slower and slower wears off. If you use it with Philips hue like I planned, you find that Apple home works much better. She's great at buying stuff from Amazon just by talking to her, but sometimes she will hear her name from the TV and just start talking, kinda annoying and slightly startling. The best use I found was as a timer for cooking. Just saying "alexa set timer for 35 minutes " is super easy. Although for $50 I can just use the one on the microwave above the stove.

I purchased one of these Dots for everyone in my family. They all love it, and I purchased wireless speakers to go with the Dots too! Highly recommend.

I find it easy to use & I use it everyday... Great for playing music & many other things... I have recommend it to many friends & it's a Great gift for any occasion...

The echo was a great find. Our friends introduced us to this. It has so many things you can do with it and look forward to the upgrades as they. Improve its technology

To be honest I don’t know anything about the dot. It’s in a drawer. I bought it for a Christmas gift. The person it was bought for did not show up on Christmas.

I love the Amazon Echo Dot. It’s convenient and easy to set up. I use I for every day purposes. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to simplify their life.

The Echo dot is the best all around device that replaces many household items. 1 - Stereo with personalized playlists, 2 - Alarm clock, 3 - Timer, 4 - Game library, 5 - Smart Home Adapter. What else can do all these things for less than $40.

I have a few different echos around the house but this one is in the kitchen. Everyone in my household interacts with Alexa!

Alexa gives the family plenty of info and enjoyment with her search and music features. We have yet to use her smart home connections but plan to in the future.

We absolutely love our Echo Dot. I received as a Christmas gift and my family went out to buy one. Lots of options on how to use it. It was worth the purchase!

We now have 3 of these. One on the patio, one in the bedroom that also controls the lights in there and one in the garage so she can talk to me from the house!

For a small gadget like this one, it is a remarkable piece! I'm sure they will come up with a better one in the near future.. guaranteed ill be the first in line!!!

After watching what I can do with the Echo Dot on YouTube I went out to Best Buy to pick one up. I'm controlling my home and alarm with voice commands and timed scripts.

This was the first unit of this type I purchased. I was so impressed that I purchased many more of different types.

I have to admit that it was the best purchased I have made so far at best buy, I live alone and having Alexa in my house is like having some excellent company.

Purchased for a gift last year and person says it is good. I don't have any personal knowledge as to the product. Teenage boy says it is good. With that being said, I did purchase one for my granddaughter this year for Christmas.

I bought this to have the Alexa experience. It's fun to to question and answer. Speaker is too small to hear quality music playback, podcasts sound OK. You can hook up external an external sound system if you already have one.
