Bought this primarily for the music function of being able to stream throughout my house but it does so much more. I really enjoy playing Jeopardy the most.

Alexa answers pretty much all my questions great wanting to set reminders asking time and scores and even gives a little history on certain questions!

I gave this as a gift to my parents, they seem to enjoy it! You can ask it a lot of questions, and it’s pretty streamlined with other amazon services.

This my 3rd Dot for my house. I use them for almost everything. I've started moving my house over to a smart house (smart lighting, smart thermostat, etc.)

Great little device though it does not "hear" as well as the echo. The echo has been tuned to allow better voice control. The one positive is the ability to add what ever speaker you wish though that comes at a price. Overall quite satisfied.

I think the Dot is priced well to help extend a home's existing Alexa network. Amazon should be able to improve the speaker in later versions. My main complaint is with a buzzy white noise sound emitting when the Dot is turned on. Could be that my particular unit had a one-off problem with electromagnetic shielding. Other people I know whom have Dots have not complained of the same issue. Overall a nice addition if you have an existing Echo -- it's just not as robust as the Echo, both in terms of feature set and dedicated speaker. I wouldn't want to skimp when creating a smart home network, so I definitely see the Dot as an add-on rather than a standalone Alexa gadget.

We purchased an Echo for our living room, the Dot was a natural addition fir the kitchen. The Alexa powered products are a great addition to any home.

Bought as class gift for teacher appreciation day and even if teacher has echo it can be used in another room and connected to blue tooth speaker for music.

I was thinking of getting an Echo, but when the dot came out, I bought it. I use it primarily for music, weather and news. If and when reasonable priced standardized home controllers become available, I may use it for other control functions.

I found it on sale and purchased a couple of them, and if I had known it was going to be the gift everyone wanted, I would have bought more.

bought one for me and some for gifts!!! I love to wake up to weather, traffic and daily news. also gives me amazon notifications!

I like it to play music it's in the living room and it answers to the Alexa commercials which is kinda funny when the it lights up blue & no one said anything... still scares me cool gadget

We got this for a gift exchange and ended up taking one home. My kids love asking Alexa questions. She provides useful information and entertainment.

The connection that the device has with my preexisting devices is wonderful, and with all the questions and tasks I ask of it; I received great responses.

Purchased to use as auxiliary to Echo Plus & Echo. Adds coverage in areas of home where we couldn’t hear original products. They all integrate well!

A fun tool for a beginner. If you have access to amazon prime or amazon music alexa is great and speaker sound is good on its own you really need to try and see what alexa can do for you -there is a learning curve to get the most out of it

What can I say about Alexa, she is amazing, love her and Amazon as well, it plays music, games, knows most everything. Whats not to love?

My family all enjoy using this on a daily basis. You won’t believe how many questions you have or are thinking of that you get instant answers for.

How did we ever live without this product. Thumbs way up. Ends the use of other cumbersome household items too, big CD players, kitchen times, etc.

I bought this and the google home! and they are both great! but I feel like i might use the Echo a bit more as it has more features!
