I purchased this to use the intercom function in my daughter's room down in the basement! Now I can "drop in" on her instead of yelling downstairs!

I bought this to link to my HK Onyx 3. No regrets, but I wish voice commands worked with Apple Music. Speaker is small so as a stand alone device it may not be worth it, but it will control smart home devices if that's your objective.

If you already have an Amazon Alexa then this is a no-brainer. It's like having another Alexa that you can put in another room at a quarter of the cost.

I always enjoy new techy items and this is one which is enjoyable, but still more of a novelty then a necessity, im sure over time I will have more practical purposes for it, but till then I will enjoy it for what it is (A toy)!

Within an hour of using my first one, I went out and bought 2 more. It connects with other smart devices, including lighting, which has been AWESOME!

My wife loved this for a Christmas gift. I have spent my time recently thinking we have a new family member. It's Alexa this and Alexa that continually.

The echo technology is great,this product works and understand you cannot set up your personal playlist unless it's on pandora,I heart or Amazon prime.

This was my second echo dot. Using it mostly to play music through a b&w zeppelin. Voice activation is so convenient along with everything else it does.

The DOT is my second purchase. I gifted the family with the Echo for Christmas and was so pleased with it that I added the DOT for my own personal use.

Purchased this Echo on bestbuy.com and can't believe all the valve for this unit. Plenty of apps for everyone to use. Try the jeopardy app for fun.

Gave this as a gift for Christmas and they have fallen in love with Alexa! She is always ready to play your favorite song or tell a funny joke!

I purchased the echo dot for use with philips hues lights, and they work great together! Would highly recommend this as any part of a smart home system.

I have my lights hooked up with WeMo and all I have to do is ask Alexa to turn on the light, the weather for the day. Or even a corny joke. Love it!

One of the best purchases I've made. The Echo Dot can be used for so many different things. I'm no where near full using its benefits.

We are enjoying our echo so much. My favorite part so far is Alexa makes my shopping list for me and sends it to my phone. We have the dot and the echo.

Has become integral part of home automation and performs flawlessly. Alexa is also a lot of fun to talk with and from which to get information.

The sale on these was so good I now have these in each bedroom. Music, alarms and timers make this an excellent addition to our home.

This product is in its nascent stage currently but I bet of you have Prime membership, its going to excite you and your kids with the songs and other skills it can show. Still this ecosystem will improve all through 2017 & 2018.
