Amazon has a winner here. This device keeps me up to date, plays music and controls my lights. Fairly simple setup and new skills all the time.

I find myself consistently using my Dot. I use my dot hands-free for all kinds of things such as weather information, news briefings and playing music.

I am able to find out anything about just about anything I need to know just by asking Alexa ! I also control my smart home with the echo dot!

We now have three of these around the house, along with an echo. Great performance, music, home control, quick answers to questions. At a bargain price.

This product will change your life the possibilities are endless and their is more and more it can do each day everyone should have this in there home.

I have 1 echo already and needed one on the living room. Setting up smart bulbs this will help me when im.in the kitchen. Very happy wth my purchase

Bought this first and like what it can do. I now connect to some lights and other items. I bought the Amazon fire stick because it can work with Alexa.

I love it, and it improves every week. I just have to figure out now how to get recipes. It's the center of all my parties - ask it a question - yeszzz

Purchased the Dot a few weeks ago and getting it setup to operate my home automation is a challenge only because I was operating everything individually and used different logins and passwords. Over I'm enjoying it and its functions

The addition of the echo to our Alexa has been great. Only recommendation is to have them far apart or they will both answer you at the same time.

Great product from playing music, getting answers to questions, your personal shopping assistant and most importantly a smart home controller.

I been wanting to purchase this item for a while. Once the price dropped, I decided on buying it. It is a cheaper way of beginning to automice my home.

Good for what I use it for but don’t expect great sound. I use it for music in the shower and checking weather. I also use it for HA. Don’t expect this thing to bring the thunder when it comes to sound though.

Excellent gift for a teen to use as an alarm clock, listen to music and check the weather for the day. Allows for less dependence on mom In the AM.

Got this for my daughter’s room. Works great as needed. Not a great quality speaker but it can hook up to an external speaker. Over she loves it.

but we haven't really been able to do too much. bought a wifi connector (tLink, I think) so we can tell Alexa to turn on the lights :) Hopefully as we get more integrated we'll use it more (and/or learn more about what it can do)

It's decent for playing music but the lack of YouTube red makes this second choice for me. It also disconnects from WiFi quite a bit. I may try the echo to see if that's any better

Great addition to our home technology systems. While first skeptical, has become a great asset for making lists, home security and family fun.
