This is a good music streaming device, the speaker could be better, but this is the basic device among all echo products so it is expected. The speaker volume is just as any smart phone, not louder than that.

I've given the Echo Dot to family and friends for all sorts of occasions. They're always excited and it's the gift that keeps on giving.

This is a great and inexpensive technology providing internet access via voice for music, news and general info. Love this invention!

Got about five of these for my friends at work. They LOVE them , but the only complaint was that they couldn’t play their music off their phones because they don’t have amazon music. But all in all it’s great!

We like the the echo dot very much. She tells us a lot of info about everything, I have stumped her a few times though. For the money she does great!

One of the first steps in to my smart home, so far i love them. Only bad is when the AWS servers go down my connected devices wont talk with alexa.

Purchased this as a Christmas gift for my mom. She likes to use it for listening to Pandora or ask Alexa to tell a joke or turn the lights on.

I bought the Echo Dot to help my dad out. He forgets what day it is, so he can ask Echo. I connected it to my Harmony Hub to help changing the channel.

I've only had the echo.for couple days so far I love it. My only complaint is it's lost my Wi-Fi once. And I had to reset it I hope this is not going to be a reoccurring event. I also don't know if it's my Wi-Fi or if it's the echo.

Alexa is my new best friend. I use this dot to turn on and off the entertainment center, get weather, turn on music, get movie reviews!! it's amazing.

This device is helpful in that it gives me a timer, an alarm clock, a way to turn on lights, a shopping list, and answers questions.

Bought this after hearing all the hype, this unit doesn't discount, it controls all the lights in my host and I have it hooked up to my surround sound.

This is the 5th Echo product I have purchased and the 3rd one I have given as a gift. It is great to give others the world of Echo and Alexa!!

I purchased 2 for different rooms in the house and they are so fun to use! Very easy to set up also. Alexa has become another family member.

We’ve ended up with 3 and use occasionally but dealing with the reality of always being listened to.. It’s a lot to accept.

Overall it is a good piece of equipment. Personally I like the new generation as it has much better audio quality. If you play some music thru these echos, it would be better to have the newest gen.

The echo dot is great. I totally love it and ask Alexia questions all the time and have her remind me of things I need to do and it is a great help.

Weren't sure what we would use it for but have found many great ideas. My husband lives the grocery list feature and we use the timer all the time

I'm the geek, I like it because it helps me make lists, turn things on and off, look up cool facts while I'm busy doing stuff like reading or making dinner. She finds any technology she doesn't understand frustrating. Don't care.

I'm one of the ones that has to get past what might be potentially intrusive into my personal space, but that said, I do like asking for & receiving what I need. The product is convenient within my lifestyle.
