Use it for weather, getting information and news. The best thing is keeping a shopping list since it is in our kitchen. Makes sure everyone can add things to the list so nothing is forgotten when my wife or I go shopping.

It is amazing how Alexa can find answers to so many things. Now American Express is part of alexa and you can get your balances etc. from her.

I had Alexa on my firestick tv which was nice, but she only worked when the TV was on. So with the Dot, it made it more convenient. I could use the DOT as a bedside alarm clock. I use the dot to turn on and off my lights. You have to be careful with names, she doesn't recognize names very well so if you were to say turn off Alice's lights, it wouldn't work. It would reply don't a device name a lish etc.... So better to name it bedroom or bathroom. If you want a order pizza, or call a uber this is the toy for you.

Purchased 5is for my husband for Christmas. He uses it for weather reports, news stories, and playing music from his phone! Great purchase.

None of the other similar products is as fast or comprehensive. I highly recommend this product to everyone. It should be a standard in every house.

We got this for my son who seems to use it more than I thought he would. Minor annoyances are the Bing search engine and it would be nice to be able to change the wake word.

Is a great echo to have in your room or study room to complement the others echo you have in your house. Get one for every room. I love it.

I really have enjoyed having the Amazon dot around. The more you use it the more you find out it truly is a valuable piece of electronics to have.

We added the dot to my husbands in-home office. He previously was unable to hear our regular Alexa in home sound system. The dot was a perfect way to add music when you didn't have the money to purchase additional Alexa's.

I have like 4 2nd Gen, and 1 3rd Gen. 3rd Gen..acts wacky at times and needs a lot of rebooting..but 2nd Gen much more stable

Life is going to be very different in years ahead and this is one of the early home products of this new wave of technology.
