Got two white dots and get this black one to fit it my house settings. Sound may not be good enough for playing music. Attached to a better bigger speaker and become so much better.

I haven’t used other like/kind items. But this one works great. Nothing to compare it to. But would recommend.

I have purchased 3 Dots and 1 Tap. I absolutely love them! I set the timer on the Dot in the kitchen when I am baking. I also play Pandora while cleaning the kitchen. I also have it set to tell me random dog facts, jokes and the weather. I have also purchased one for my Mother in Law. She loves it as much as I do!

Easy setup and great to network for intercom purposes in different rooms. Kids love having them in their rooms.

Purchased for my mother in law and loves it. She has the fire stick as well and just thinks Amazon is awesome.

I rent, so I haven't gone all in on IoT.. this limits my use of the Echo to music and news mostly.. Alexa hasn't been great on generic questions but the Echo does what it advertises..

I love the Echo Dot!! It is my first smart purchase and I waited months to get one since they were all sold out everywhere. Not only is it sooo much fun and I have found a zillion uses for this little gadget and it keeps my little granddaughters entertained too! I am still amazed it is so inexpensive for all it does!

This speaker is the perfect gift for anyone! From your teenager all the way to your grandparents! Easy to use!

My whole home is fitted with 2 Echo Dots,1 Echo, 1 Nest thermostat, 20 Philips Hue bulbs, 1 Ring pro doorbell, and a whole lot of Samsung Smarthings. This product is literally the reason I can own any of those items. It is by far the best product to start a smarthome journey as of today (though Google and now Apple are looking to change that). That being said, I have had issues with my dot (and echo) not understanding me. I am am a professional musician that can fill an opera house without amplifaction and I don’t have an accent. This is a big problem that needs to be addressed. That being said, the benefits of this product are greater than anything else in my home (except my wife)! With the other products I mentioned above, I am able to do the following things while tucked in bed: turn off/on any light in the house, set the temperature on the AC, arm my security system, turn off the christmas lights (or anything else plugged into my outlets), stream music, etc. By the way, the dot does everything the echo does but with a smaller speaker.

This Echo is great. I connect my larger speakers via Bluetooth to get a better sound. We as a family enjoy it!

The Echo has lots of neat features such as storytelling, games, trivia, etc. Also, it was super easy to set up.

It's incredible how much this tiny device can do to inform and entertain you. It was simple to set up. The audio quality of the Dot is not great for music, but it is fine for the news and weather. I pair the Dot with a good Bluetooth speaker when I want to listen to music. It's an amazing value at $50.

The Dot is a great deal. Alexa is a top notch personal assistant without being too obtrusive. Purchased the Dot to see what Alexa could do. She can take notes, wake you up, give a quick weather report and play music. Love news updates. If you want a bigger sound get Tap or Echo. Best for Amazon Prime members! Great buy!

So cool, I have one beside my bed and I can say “Alexa turn on rain sounds” And before you know it I’m asleep
